My first order from vine St in about 28 years. Since my HS days. Quite possibly the worst pizza I've ever eaten. And that is the bottom of a long list. Straight off the bat I opened the box to see a premade pizza shell. Should have just thrown it in the trash right there. But figured we gotta eat. The toppings actually werent too bad but it was put together like someone would glue hair on a bald guy. Half the pizza had literally next to no toppings. The other half was ok. Nothing shifted it was just lazily put together without a care in the world. Sauce was dripping off the edge all the way around. Pie wasnt cut at all. Had to cut it ourselves. The sauce is weird. It tastes like candy lol. Way too sweet, it's smoky, almost like BBQ sauce.
I also ordered a large coal cracker hoagie. I got a small Italian. There's a reason I ordered a coal cracker. For the rest of the meat it ads plus a large so I had a portion for lunch tomorrow. $28 I paid with the tip added in. Hoagie costs as much as DW's in shamokin which uses only tht highest quality Dietz and Watson meats a legit philly sub roll. All I got was like 4 pieces of meat, tomato was missing.
Pretty much a waste order to find out I won't have to order...
Read moreI will never spend another Penny at this place. Ordered a chicken fingers platter. They have changed the chicken fingers. Now they taste like fake cheap chicken meat.i called an asked if I could return them for something else because they are horrible, taste weird and won't eat them. Not asking for refund just replace it for something else. I was told no . They will not replace or refund. That their chicken fingers are their chicken fingers they use ( pretty much you like them or you don't). That its not a mistake on their part . Are you kidding me. How I am supposed to know you've switched brands. In no way was there any info that they have switched to another brand of chicken fingers. I work hard for money. Very rarely order out but when I do . I want to be happy and full .aleast be able to eat it. A waste of money and now a platter that I can't/won't eat. Worst customer service. I've worked in food service and I know the customer isn't always right but...
Read moreEDIT: Talk about shrinkflation! I expect the big companies to do this but mom and pop shops like Vine Street doing it too?? Seriously? I expect a higher price these days, but then they change the portion sizes to be smaller on top of it! Food is made without care, workers don't want to be there, and prices are getting ridiculous. The food is still okay if you don't mind paying crazy prices. What a huge change this place has gone through from just a few years ago... SMH....
My family and I order from here pretty often. The food is very good for a sub shop. I love getting the fried pickles. Workers are always very polite and their macaroni and cheese out of the refrigerator is to die for. The hot foods tend to be on the pricier side. Anything deep fried seems like half of the oil from the fryer goes into the bag with your...
