China Bowl and Sushi — Restaurant in Mount Carmel

UPDATE: Usually, Chinese food places definitely take a turn downhill after a few months to a year. This restraunt's food continues to impress me with their delicious dishes and quality. The only negative thing I have to add is that I feel like they change their prices and menu options often. For instance, they used to offer small, large, and combo sizes of their meals. Now, they only offer combo and large. They used to offer lunch specials Mon-Sat, and now they only offer that Mon-Fri. I have attached photos of their most recent updated menu.

Considering the previous chinese place that was here was not so great and pretty dingy, I was very pleasantly surprised by how nicely renovated the inside was done. It looked very clean and the food was excellent! I'm so happy there is a new chinese place so close, and now I don't have to travel all the way to selinsgrove for fresh sushi! This is a fantastic jewel in this little town.

I’m a major fan of Asian food and this is my new favorite. I love the fresh ingredients in their dishes, their deep and flavorful sauces, and their delicious egg rolls.

Most people probably don’t mention the rice but OMG their white rice is some of the best I’ve ever tried anywhere. I wish I could underline that sentence because the white rice is perfectly cooked and has a great taste and texture. I don’t eat fried rice so I can’t review it but you’ve got to try their white rice.

Prices are good, staff are friendly, and you can get drinks and such in the restaurant that you won’t find elsewhere around here.

I rated 4 on everything, but that includes atmosphere, decorations, and seating, which for dining in is just very plain to me. However, that is just the seating area. I was incredibly impressed by the food and am struggling to think of a time I've had better shrimp in a comparable restaurant. Normally when you're in smaller towns, you get what you get for food, this was full of flavor, generous portions, the sauce with the Chinese pancakes was amazing, the mount caramel roll was exceptionally unexpected, fried rice and sweet and sour chicken was on point.
