I wanted to check out this brand new Coffee venture which recently opened on Hamilton Avenue, close to U.S. Bank, across the street and adjacent to a Photography center. So, I paid a visit this past weekend. It's the Signature Mile Coffee Company located on 7420 Hamilton Avenue, Unit A, in Cincinnati, OH 45231.
The Coffee House has a traditional look from outside. But, once you get inside you would really notice the chic look with a great decor and nice lighting. It's not very big, but everything seems to look well organized. There was a trendy crowd, while I was there.
Kim, the hostess who was at the Cash register was very welcoming, cheerful, patient and accommodating. I ordered a small Home Brew Cofee, since I preferred a blend which was not very strong and followed Kim's suggestion as far as the choice. Square Mile doesn't offer paper receipts. Actually, I had to personally ask for a receipt after making a credit card payment. The answer was that they don't provide paper receipts, but could e-mail it to me, which I obliged. It's because Square Mile Coffee Company uses, "Square", a new billing system. On future visits, you would get your receipts delivered automatically by e-mail as long as you shop at retailers or sellers who use, "Square!"
I was directed opposite to the cash register next to the exit to get some cream and sugar. There were no napkins in the small counter and I couldn't find any around as well. The Cofee, as I expected was still a bit strong but with good flavor. I kept on adding sugar to it! They have Sumatran, Colombian and Espresso selections etc. as well.
I did receive a receipt by e-mail soon after, as promised which showed me the same price showing that I purchased a House Blend (Large) size, when I specifically ordered a small cup, as you could very well see in the pictures being posted aong with this review!. I did not quite understand!
Square Mile also offers breakfast and lunch, apart from savories and pastries. They also offer vegan options, if I am not mistaken and also did notice the menu having quite a bit of spinach options.
Suggestions:
Please provide either napkins to customers directly or place it near the dairy and sugar area handy.
Please provide paper receipts, if possible. Most of the people who pay by credit cards, these days could have e-mail accounts. There could be exceptions as well! I could be wrong.
Please make sure that the receipts, you provide...

Stopped into Square Mile Coffee during a quick visit to Cincy, and I’m so glad I made the time. The space immediately drew me in—sleek, modern, and cozy, like the kind of spot that just feels right the moment you step inside. Bright welcoming smiles and great service. It’s beautifully designed, inviting, and definitely somewhere I’d return whenever I’m in town.
I tried their Indonesian Java, and while it was already brewed and served from a container, it was still a solid cup. The aroma gave soft notes of fruit and nuttiness, and the flavor was light with a subtle grape-like sweetness and a mild spicy finish. It was enjoyable, and I’d love to experience it brewed fresh as a pour over to see how those notes develop.
The noise level was just a touch high—especially with one guest having a loud video meeting nearby—but to be fair, the space is small and intimate, and that kind of thing can happen. Still, it didn’t take away from the overall charm. The table layout is close-knit, which adds to the community vibe.
Even with limited time, this place left a lasting impression. It’s less than 10 minutes from my in-laws, so I’ll absolutely be back—next time with more time to geek out over coffee and explore the full menu. A great addition to the Cincy...
Read moreA great place to meet someone at, Square Mile Coffee is just about the definition of a hip local small coffee shop. It is located conviently on the main drag (OH 127) through Mt. Healthy, Ohio, in an old brick auto service station (remember those?), I'd guess from the 1930s. The standard house blends are high quality, with quarterly seasonal offerings posted for adventurous caffeine hunters--with smoothies as well. It's a clean and pleasant atmosphere, and the choice nibbles often hit the spot. The only downfall is no soup or sandwich menu, which is understandable due to the small size of the building. Check the little bulletin board inside for a free coffee coupon paid forward by appreciative customers, or leave one or more of your own. My fave is their standard Mocha Latte Sweet. Warning: Once you've been there a few times, and they learn your first name, it is real hard to drive by and not stop in. This time I paired my coffee with a tasty Pistachio paste and Chocolate-filled croissant with nuts on top. Currently closed...
