Perkins American Food Co. — Restaurant in North College Hill

Randall was our server. We had just gone 5 min away from our home to IHOP on Marburg. We have tried to go there 3 times in the last week. Every single time we would go in there, with many tables open, there would be at least a 15 minute wait....sometimes much longer. I get staffing issues, but at some point one has to look beyond that and ask what the management issues are. Anyway,back to perkins. We ended up here because there was a wait, again,at 345pm. We didnt want to wait, perkins was no wait,so we drove 20 minutes to there. We 2alked in,were greeted with a smile, sat right away and had our drinks at the table in 5 minutes. See, people can tell when you love your job. Randal ended up getting a 50% tip because he was just THAT good. He anticipated our needs, helped with choosing menu items and just really seemed like he enjoys his PROFESSION. He made us feel like we were the only table there when he had many. Honestly Perkins is a family tradition in my house but it's my Son's favorite Restaurant!! So we supposed to see a show and it was cancelled so to cheer him up we went to Perkins. The Server doesn't speak to us he just kept inquiring why it wasn't another adult present. I had to tell my Son's drink order because he walked away and never asked Henrie what he wanted to drink. He brings my 2 year old a hot chocolate with out a lid when I asked the servers for chocolate milk. Then he relies oh... Well I'll drink it... Ok then brings my baby a cup of milk no lid and when I asked for a cup with a lid he got passive aggressive with me. He didn't take our our order correctly and never gave me the chance to correct it because he never came back to check on us and left my son thirsty. It was a horrible weird experience when we have never had that happen to us ever. He judged me so hard and tried to ruin our Mom and Son Day. Today December 14,2024 at 3:50 pm I called this location to put a order in with sharlah.. however her name is spelled. And I was trying to order some fried pickles, and also to explain my experience before with the fried pickles burning threw the foam to go boxes and Sharlah was talking over ne saying to take it up with corporate and all I was asking is if they had any tissue paper or napkins and she said to rake it up with corporate. And the way she delivers he message talking over me as a customer was very unprofessional and rude because if I was the manager she claim to be. I would had asked how would I like the food boxed up. But she had a whole attitude about how I was trying to calmly explain without being cut off how its unhealthy to eat food that burned threw the box and if it can be boxed with napkins or something and she was just cutting me off and I told her I'm not comfortable at all to place my order with such unprofessional character as a manager... how rude. And this is why I haven't not came to this location or restaurant...
