I live locally about 2 blocks from the restaurant. I buy frequently 1x weekly usually. My typical order is online, 2 lg cheese pizza's & 20 wing's. I placed an order online as usual tonight, November 9th. My confirmation email was at 6:21pm. ETA delivery was @ 7:06pm. Around 7:30 I called the restaurant and was told my food was out for delivery and they were busy and it was an hour wait after ordered.(how was I to know that?) When the food arrived around 7:40pm I received 2 pizza's with burnt cheese and slightly warm, my wing's were absent. I stated to the delivery man after tipping him that part of my order was missing. He confirmed and said he would come right back with them. I immediately called and stated my wing's were missing and told them about my pizza issue, the lady on the phone apologized and said they would credit me for the wing price, then asked me to hold. I asked to speak to a manager on duty. The lady whom answered therafter was short and very rude. She stated they would not give me the wing's and credit me for them and asked me which I wanted. I asked how long have they been made because of course I didn't want wing's that were cold and sitting along side of my pizza that was not fresh. The manager that I spoke to stated in rude tone of voice "what do you want, either the wing's or a refund for them I will not give you both". I explained that I typically do not have issues at all with this buisiness and that I wasn't asking for anything free, simply for the issue with my pizza's, the way late delivery and missing my wing's, that could I get a credit of some sort. I mean everyone makes mistakes, however there should've been a means to rectify it. She explained again "no". I asked her why she had such a terrible attitude and that spending $35 on delivery food was a decent explanation for my call. At this point my signifacant other was furious and yelling in the background, I admit he was much angrier than I but can you blame him? She said "tell me what you want to do or I'm hanging up the phone". I was shocked and said I cannot belive how you're talking to me, after that she hung up on me. This is no such way at all to treat anyone, new or exsisting customers. I don't have a clue whom I spoke with because she refused to give me her name but I would love to speak with the actual owner. If I had an employee working for me and treated someone with complete disrespect as she did I would address it without hesitant and either re-train or fire such an exsistance. Totally without a doubt...
Read moreI have ordered a pineapple and bacon pizza on two different occasions and have unfortunately run into issues with the business over common sense customer service etiquette. Each time we received a ham/pineapple pizza. The mistake I understand. It happens. On both accounts, however, the representatives of the business complained about having to return the correct pizza to us. On the second occasion instead of trying to accommodate to the customers needs the employee stated "You ordered a pineapple/ham pizza, I remember! If you want your pineapple/bacon pizza you have to come pick it up because I know you didn't order a pineapple/bacon pizza" She voided the credit card transaction. I then thought to myself "Wow! Kids are starting work early these days! Eight years old?" I then realized she wasn't in fact eight. At least I think I'm right about that but perhaps I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt... It is under my belief, and I'm sure to 90% of the populous, that any decent business providing services are to be accommodating and understanding to their customers during mishaps. Right? Papas pizza is a unique business in that they find it a sufficient practice to turn the cheek during moments when they have made a mistake. I'm not one to believe that the customer is always right all the time. It's a collaborative effort and mistakes happen; but you can't tell me it's a worthy business practice when the childlike presence on the phone is getting paid to show off how much they don't really...
Read more1st visit, they put our order under the wrong name and couldn't find our order, that took about 4 minutes for the young boy to find our order. 2nd visit, the gave us the wrong order. Had to have repcement subs delivered, took about 20 minutes. 3rd visit, young lady answered phone "hello" like she is answering her cellphone. (me) HELLO?!?! is this Papa's pizza? Yeah what can I get you? (My 1st instinct was to say) well, you can get me someone a little more professional to answer the phone! And the 4th LAST time, we ordered wings, shrimp basket and a 2nd order of fries. The fries were so dark brown and soaked in grease they were not edible, this was the 2nd time fries were awful, but this time was just disgusting. Our order consisted of a shrimp basket 9.50+ 1 dozen wings $15 + an order of fries 4.50 this equals $29.00 +tax. When we finally get to the counter, the lady says "$39.98. WAIT, WHAT?!?! after a recalculation, she finally got it right. But, that doesn't even come close to the food we received. Lesson learned and we will NOT return! Sad service and poor...
