Rise Bake Shoppe and Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Mount Joy

My husband and I cannot recommend Rise Bake Shoppe enough! In the past two months we have ordered three birthday cakes, cupcakes, and pies. Each order was beautifully made and tasted delicious from the buttercream, to the moist cake, to the filling. After making the selections for my cakes, I added a note in the description that they had creative license and to have a little fun. Each time we and our guests have been very pleased, especially with the cupcakes my daughter requested for her birthday. She wanted rainbow cupcakes and they turned out exactly how I had hoped. She was overjoyed! The employees were also incredibly helpful to my husband who mistakenly selected Saturday instead of Friday to pickup my birthday cake. Fortunately, the cake he ordered was a small one and they were able to get it ready in about 30 minutes, squeezing it into their already busy day. It was beautiful! We recently ordered pumpkin and shoefly pies. The pumpkin pies were a hit and went fast. The only feedback about the shoefly was that the molasses or syrup used was not strong enough, but that's a matter of personal preference and I was told it was still very good. Rise has definitely become our bakery. Their baked items in the shoppe are so fresh and a real treat. The environment is lovely and very welcoming. What a gem of a place to find fresh baked goods and lovely creative treats! For a small group birthday I bought a dozen of the macarons and two baby cakes, one in the white cloud and the other in death by chocolate flavor. Macarons are fresh and flavorful. The cakes were beautifully decorated and everyone loved the flavors. I stopped by again as a last minute find for Easter treats. I bought two lovely egg shaped cookies in Robin egg blue, and a dozen macarons, which I divided out into four bags with ribbon by stacking three in each bag. I would have gotten the adorable cupcakes, but I knew that I would have eaten them before they could be delivered for Easter. Oh, and there is a selection of candles, tea towels, and beautiful cards to choose from in the gift area. I would love to see even more items in the gift shop area. But, the items there make wonderful last minute gifts, or a treat...

I love everything about this place! Last week I placed an order for “dark themed sweet treats” for a Fête en Noir event held on a Friday evening in a cemetery! Rise’s owner put together a chocolate package consisting of a chocolate cheesecake with an Oreo crust, whoopie pies, brownie bites, chocolate peanut butter fudge, and the most insanely delicious chocolate cupcakes with chocolate cream cheese frosting. OH MY GOODNESS!! The frosting is a special order and it was well worth every calorie! Today I stopped in for their customer appreciation event and bought more cupcakes, rice crispy treats, milk chocolate nonpariels, oatmeal raisin cookies and a half dozen mini macaroons for my birthday boy.
