Little Chiques Park — Attraction in Mount Joy

The stream hugs the entire perimeter of this park and attracts all sorts of wildlife, making it a great place to take a stroll and relax enjoy nature. There are several large pavilions spaced out around the park where you can setup a nice picnic and/or grill some food.

If you're into disc golf, the course here is great. The tee pads and baskets were just put in about a year ago and the groundskeepers keep the green in great shape. The first hole of the course is pretty hidden (the entrance trail is located off the left side of the first parking lot, before you go past the second speed "bump"). If you're looking to just play casually, I like to start at hole 2 and just do holes 2-7 -- essentially the inner circuit. Holes 1, 8, & 9 are quite challenging for casual players but does loop around a nice little hidden area around the edge...

This is not a large park. Mostly open field with some large trees scattered around. Very small playground in the center. Pavilions surround the perimeter, with picnic tables and charcoal grills. It is never crowded. A few people might be walking their dogs. Sometimes teenagers might be there riding bikes, running RC vehicles & drones. Sometimes a few people throwing or kicking a ball/frisbee. The park is surrounded on 3 sides by a creek. Sometimes people go there to fish. A few people catch trout but not often and not very big. A couple places can access the creek (water is ankle to knee deep, in most places). Be careful steep 8' banks all around and most banks have poison ivy. Overall, quiet and serene...

I've been enjoying little chiques park for years and it's such a beautiful place kept clean and all the only problem is a lot of people take their dogs there for freedom and they let them go from their leash there have been several times where dogs have run up to me barking and howling an attempt and aggression until the owner of that dog would run to save the hour violating the rules of the park by letting their dogs loose terrorizes the poor people that try to enjoy this park I am reluctant to visit because of this negligence and disrespect of the park rules that many people have it would be nice if it could be enforced a little more to avoid unnecessary casualties thank...
