Unfortunately we will NOT be bringing our business back to this establishment! TERRIBLE experience & awful customer service.. not to mention they lie. We ordered take out & I ordered my favorite meal, seafood enchiladas (I've had them there before), which on the menu states that it's shrimp and cheese with green sauce.. my fiancé brings it home and I noticed it looks very different than before with a lot of peppers and onions.. but I tried it anyway. After 2-3 bites of this not so great "enchilada" I noticed a weird piece of "shrimp" and spit it out.. the shrimp had weird bumps on it and we then discovered it was actually octopus. I'm disgusted at this point and that's not what I ordered. So we call & ask the person on the phone who hesitates and then (lies) and says "yes" it's supposed to have octopus in it (even though it's not listed in the menu that way & was never that way the 3 times we tried it before). I'm very disappointed at this point.. but figured it's a mistake no big deal so my fiancé drives all the way back to ask them if I can have what I actually ordered (not asking for a refund or anything) and the person apologizes and says it's their fault they "made the wrong thing" (they have this other octopus item on the menu) and they will make a new one.. after waiting over 5 mins already two of the employees come out and tell my fiancé they cannot make me the meal I ordered because I "ate most of it"... First of all, at least we brought it back to show you I couldn't eat it & that it was wrong.. and secondly I ate MAYBE half of ONE enchilada (THERE WERE 3) and spit it out when I realized it was octopus. They didn't offer us a refund and wouldn't make me what I ordered originally.. all I wanted was my seafood enchiladas. EXTREMELY poor customer service and bad business. Not to mention they LIED 3 times.. they admitted it was their mistake and they made the wrong item and then came back saying they won't make me a new one and that their menu has changed and has not been updated so it is "now" supposed to have octopus. I cannot believe the horrible customer service. Now I'm out $13 with a turned stomach. I've worked in the service industry for a very long time and this is just...
Read moreCame in here with very high expectations of getting some authentically prepared Mexican food. Our server spoke Spanish so that was a big plus, as was the in house wifi. The tortilla chips tasted like they were prepared in house, and the accompanying rojo salsa was very well spiced. Could have used some extra minced garlic and cilantro, but it was still better than most other Mexican restaurants in PA that we've been to. Our server looked surprised when I asked for mica, perhaps because it was not listed on the menu. I then asked her if they serve carne asada and she answer yes, so that's what I ordered. This meal was starting out very, very well. Until my mica was brought out. It tasted like it had been made from powder. I would assimilate this hibiscus tea in the same way that Tang would compare to fresh squeezed orange juice. Not very tasty or appealing at all. When my carne asada burrito came out of the kitchen it was visually disappointing because there was just a scant dollop of sour cream & guacamole at one end of the plate, and no pico de gallo on top of the burrito. Even more disappointing was what this place calls carne asada. Instead of a well marinated skirt steak grilled to medium rare and sliced thinly, it appeared to be cheap round steak that was waaaaay over cooked and then chopped up into minced meat. Because of that the burrito was very dry and had almost zero flavor. What a shame considering all the beef ranches in the surrounding Lancaster County area where this restaurant could source some locally produced beef with some great rass fed flavor. All in all, Tres Hermanos was a complete disappointment as our...
Read moreTres Hermanos is the best little place for good, authentic, Mexican Home Cooking, outside of Mexico and I am fortanuate that it is right around the corner. I've spent a lot of time in Obregon, Mexico and everytime I step into Tres Hermanos, it takes me back to good meals, good memories and good freinds. In my most recent experience I meeded Cotija cheese for cooking and they didn't have any in the grocery section, but the woman at the counter went back in the kitchen and got me a pound from their own stock.
The sit down food(take out food in the age of Covid), is excellent and I love their Ceviche and this is my go to dish. Everything on the menu is awesome and if you find yourself in Mount Joy, stop in and experience that great Mexican cuisine!
