I generally don't like the fact that Google doesn't separate food and drink reviews from the same place. I am not a drinker. Alternatively, someone else's review may be regarding just the alcohol. Having said that, this review is only for the food and service. We went here on a Friday afternoon and sat outside. It was not busy. The server was nice enough but didn't keep my drink topped up (pet peeve); particularly when it's so dead. We ordered Caesar salad, wings with multiple sauces on the side, and a burger and fries. We were asked for preparation on the burger to which we responded medium. It came out well. That was disappointing, though the flavor was excellent and the burger was still juicy. The patty was so thin it would be very difficult not to overcook it. So that's a ding. The fries seemed to be hand cut and had a delicious spice blend on it. The wings were prepared well and had the same seasoning blend as the fries. It worked equally well on those. The buffalo sauce they have is dressed up and was delicious. A little creamy, black pepper forward, and just the right amount of vinegar. The bbq sauce was just gross. The stout in it was way too strong for my liking. Just overpowered the sauce. Thankfully, the wings were good naked with the seasoning and also when dipping in the buffalo. The caesar salad was not great. Greens were fresh but the dressing was garbage. Either make your own, or spend on a good one. Overall, the experience was just meh. I wish these places would put as much effort into the food as they do in the alcohol. If I do go back, it would just be for the wings and fries. Other...
Read moreAvoid! To start, ordered loaded fries as Appetizer along with our meals at the same time. After a long while, I approached the bar and asked about the status of the appetizer. Server said “Oops. I forgot to put the appetizer in as an appetizer. It will come out with the food.” I asked to cancel them since we wanted as an appetizer, not an additional side. Was told no because we had, in-fact, ordered them; despite the server’s ordering mistake. Food came. Food was good. Checked the bill, here’s where the problem started. Kid’s meal stated on menu it came with a drink. When ordering, server asked if we wanted juice, milk, or soda. We chose soda: was charged extra for soda with no forewarning. Ordered cheesesteak. Was asked if fries were ok as side. I asked if there is a veggie side because we had just ordered fries as the appetizer. I was offered a salad. I agreed to salad. I was charged $4 with no forewarning. Now, $4 extra to get a small bowl of lettuce and to forego the fries!!! Kids quesadilla advertised as included sour cream. Came w/o sour cream. Asked for sour cream. Was charged $1 for the sour cream. Asked to speak with manager because I felt like we were taken “advantage of” as we were clearly being from out of town. I was told “Oh, No manager is here. Sorry”. Plus, she had us pay at the time of ordering (that should have been...
Read moreSo, me and the Mrs. decided to meet some old friends (they're not really that old) but we've known them for a many years and we've always enjoyed their company. You know sometimes life just gets complicated and you don't see people you love as often as you'd like. Anyway, we decided to meet at the Twisted Pine and I'm so glad that we did. The last time we were there was not long after covid and the menu was not that robust at the time so I didn't really have high hopes and expectations along those lines. It turns out that they have a very strong menu and I was very pleased. I ordered just a regular cheeseburger with the loaded fries and I was really pleased with taste and quality of ingredients. The wait staff was very kind, patient with me and even gave free refills on my soda. Yes, I know I was drinking soda in a beer joint but it was just what I wanted at the time. I'll definitely be returning because it's a great establishment to have in our community. The atmosphere at Twisted Bine is really nice, plenty of places to sit, outdoor seating, and when the weather is nice, I think they open the windows directly...
