Alexander's Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Mount Pleasant

I have ordered from this place in the past food is ok and its 1 of 3 places that deliver and are open today near me, everytime I've been told a ridiculous wait time for delivery usually 2 1/2 to 3hrs and that's at anytime. so I usually just drive, today I am unable to drive. So the young lady said give me a minute then hangs up, I call back a man answered clearly already knew who I was, I could hear girls laughing in the back round I guess happy that they hung up on someone? But today for the first time I was told they never deliver this far? I live less then 7 miles I was ordering 60$ worth of food. I honest to God believe they only tell me these ridiculous wait times because they don't want to deliver. PUT DELIVERY MILAGE UP. Bunch...

I got stuck in Mount pleasant for a day and a half and got towed in off the Pennsylvania turnpike to Chevrolet dealership... I walked down into town and a girl told me of this restaurant that had good food and was open late so I went in and order the gyro and some cheese sticks and a drink and it was awesome... Walked back down the next day while I was waiting for my wife to come from the state of Indiana to pick me up and ordered the same thing again.. Truly a neat hometown restaurant with a personal touch to making the food... I can only hope that when I'm passing through again next year that I'm hungry and can...

After hearing pretty good things about this place I decided to give it a try. I must say it was a disappointing experience. My pizza was under cooked and doughy. I had to put it in the oven and finish cooking it. My pepperoni roll on the other hand was burnt and tasted as such. I will say the Italian hoagie was pretty good. Overall not what I was hoping for given the good things I heard about Alexander’s. The workers were pleasant when placing and picking up my order. Maybe just a bad day.
