Pollo Bueno — Restaurant in Mount Pleasant

At the counter ordering, not table waiting establishment. I ordered Taco Buenos, my intention was to order 3 tacos, beans, and rice. I received 5 tacos, no beans/ no rice. I ordered 1 steak, 1 pastor, and 1 barbacoa. The barbacoa meat is dry, (photo) I am pretty sure I got chicken tacos instead of pastor, I mean, it taste like chicken, looks like chicken, no pineapple... (photo) Pollo Bueno is cooking with sweet onions, which for me is weird -not for taco pastor it's not, but for carne asada, or barbacoa it seems weird to me. They do serve beer here, no Queso Blanco, and you know I want my Queso Blanco and beer. It's self serve for chips and dine in only on those chips. This is like a taco bell as far as service and presentation goes, food is more authentic than taco bell, but not what I was expecting coming in my first time. If the barbacoa wouldn't have been so dry I probably would have given 3 stars cause the food isn't horrible. I would advise staff to ask more questions and...

I use to love this place but found dark hair in my burrito today. I’m a blonde! So immediately puked as I took a bite & a hair just kept coming out. Check your food yall! Also what’s on their menu pictures isn’t what you get. Example…There’s a huge sign outside showing a shrimp ceviche tostada with guacamole & chives & pico on top. But you only get a few shrimps & pico on a chip for $8 or large $14. I asked for it to be like the photo & it was $1+ extra. I suggest advertising what you actually are selling & wearing hair nets! I was so disgusted I called & the manager had me send the picture of the hair so I could drive back to get a refund. Sadly won’t be back. Just...

You would think I would give this place a 5 since it is one of my favorite places to eat but no. When it first opened, omg the food was soooo good but lately the food quality has gone down greatly. But the food is good and the price is right. Also the new policy about the sauce... paying for more than two! I am a small person but two sauces is just not enough... make it fair, three would be good... I cam understand paying for a fourth one but I'm not a glutton and Two doesn't cut it.
