MUST VISIT SPOT IF IN MCCLOUD!! 😌 I was in need of matcha, and this location carried it plus was on the way to the hiking trail. Perfect place to fuel a morning hike. At around 11:30AM there were about 7 other people who arrived after us. Food review: I am literally blown away by the excellent quality of each item I ordered. Food is displayed at the front through a glass. Upon my inquiry of which roll to get, the staff member claimed they had the best caramel pecan rolls, and she was definitely correct!! The freshness and softness of the roll complimented the butteriness of the caramel and textures of the pecans. I enjoyed every bite :D I also ordered the veggie frittata and puffs. All were flavorful and nourishing. It is clear each food item is made with intention. Drink review: Matcha flavor was perfect. Honey was delicious and pure quality, and not overpowering. Sweetness was probably a 65% level, which I prefer. Parking: Limited. One spot in the front and the rest is street parking in a neighborhood. Bathroom: Located in the shop next door. One bathroom for all genders with one toilet. Food options: Coffee, pastries, frittatas. Vegetarian options available! Seating: Indoor and outdoor options! Perfect place for going solo or with a small group! Pet friendly: Yes, outdoors :D We ate outside with our dog under the canopy. There is a water bowl for dogs, and they were generous in replacing it with fresh water. Staff: There were two people working the front. They greeted me with a smile upon entering. They kindly brought the food out when it was ready. I appreciate how they gave me recommendations for hiking spots when I asked. Recommendation: Highly recommend!! I will be back my next visit :D

We had some of the most amazing baked goods here, and the owner made it even more enjoyable! This little place was easily on the way to Burney Falls from Shasta, and we decided to sit down and have the frittata, cheddar biscuit, and almond bear claw. Oh..my..flavor these were all so amazing we couldn't resist getting more for the road! Also her husband runs the outdoor gear store next door which has a ton of cool supplies which is fun to look around. We're definitely stopping here again on our next trip to the area!

One year later & still amazing. This is THE best coffeehouse with gluten-free choices to die for. A couple savory brunch choices & even good ole biscuits & gravy (not gluten free 🙃) Even my husband, who is not gluten-free, loves the gluten free pastries … the very best I have found & on par with Lilac Patisserie in Santa Barbara. And here in cute little old McCloud!!! We need the owner, Jules (& she is a jewel), in Southern California PLEASE!!!

Ordered a coffee with oat milk. Was given a coffee with almond milk. Wife told them that she had actually ordered the coffee with oat, and was so sorry but she needed a new one (as I am deathly allergic to nuts). Owner looked at my wife, and told her point blank that she ordered almond (which she would NEVER do - as again - I AM DEATHLY ALLERGIC TO ALMOND MILK). The cashier looked at her and said “see, you ordered almond milk,” as if she ordered incorrectly, instead of the cashier hearing her incorrectly - when this is the same employee to mishear her the previous day (giving her a smaller drink than we purchased the day before). To get a new drink, they REQUIRED her to purchase ANOTHER seven dollar latte, with the ingredient she asked for in the first place - one that would keep me alive instead of sending me to an early grave. Absolutely ABHORRENT way to treat a customer, especially when one is trying to be as kind...

We’re from out of state but have stopped in a couple times on our travels. The food, coffee and service has been amazing! But, we have to wait a whole year till we’re able to visit again on our travels, not fair! The Mexican mocha and peanut butter lattes are the best we’ve had ever had, anywhere. The scones were delish as well. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Love that they offer gluten free options too! It’s a nice cozy atmosphere as well if you’re planning on a hang. Wish we had a coffee shop like this back in Arizona, definitely will be back next...
