Last night we decided to try Ame. The three of us ordered a variety of items to see what we liked. We ordered the Tempura shrimp roll, Sashimi platter and Takoyaki as our appetizers. The tempura shrimp roll and takoyaki were absolutely perfect. But the absolute standout item was the sashimi platter, The quality and freshness of the fish along with the large beautiful cuts were completely outstanding. The best sashimi that I’ve had probably ever which includes many $100 per person places in Seattle and Vancouver BC. Then we ordered Tom yum Ramen, AME salad, shrimp and vegetable tempura and miso soup. The tom yum Ramen had a goodbalance of sour And spicy. With perfectly cooked noodles and tender cha chu. The salad is probably one of my favorite salads, Fresh crunchy vegetables with a light but luxurious dressing. The miso soup had The perfect size tofu for a balanced flavor and bite. The tempura Was the perfect crisp while not being too heavy. And the variety of different vegetables was outstanding. Our server and the owner were incredibly attentive without being overbearing. The pace at which they served us during our evening was perfect, Allowing time to enjoy the atmosphere, have good conversation and food to arrive as the previous thing was slowing down. Overall, in my opinion, this is the best restaurant in the valley and will be coming back again and again for more delicious...

Read moreWe ordered Cha chu (tonkatsu) ramen, yellowtail spicy roll, Oyakodon and Chicken red curry. The yellowtail was silky, fresh and delicious. We couldn't taste any spicy notes however the soy sauce wasabi mixture we stirred together worked perfectly. The chicken in the Oyakodon was cooked perfectly and had juicy brothy flavors that highlighted the lack of other flavors in the dish. The chicken red curry flavor in contrast was creamy rich and spicy and the kabocha squash rounded out the dish as exceptional. The tonkatsu ramen broth was a bit watery and not saved by other...
