Cruisin Coffee LaVenture — Restaurant in Mount Vernon

It is a hot day out and you want a cold drink? Look no more. Come to Cruisin. Want some energy? Come get a spritzer at Cruisin. Its cold and you want a hot drink? Go to another coffee stand trust me you won't go far. We have many around. I don't know why their hot drinks have never been good here. I was pre-warned by some college students and friends but chose to ignore them. Until I got to give it a chance myself. Well, the hot drinks don't even taste like what they should and yes I'm talking about the coffee. Who knew coffee would go bad and lose its flavor from sitting out too long? (Starbucks does, which is why they make fresh coffee every 15-30mins). Its almost like they don't brew new one and the one they serve has been sitting there all morning. It almost taste burnt from sitting too long on the pot. Yep, they served you burnt coffee. Honestly they should just make this a place for cold drinks and ice cream. Enough with the hot drinks if you don't even know what you're doing. I'm only giving it 3 stars because their cold drinks are the best in the area. Cool Coffee Cream Please!

I pulled up and sat for a few minutes not sure if I needed to pull around or not. I asked about a drink, but they didn't have it. No big deal. I asked for a different drink, and the person disappeared. I realized she never asked me what size drink I wanted. A while later I realized she must have misheard my order because I got something completely different (I didn't alert them as I already felt like I was being a pain just by ordering). I was asked if I wanted anything else and I ordered a packaged food item. Unfortunately, the whole experience felt like I was intruding on them, and that every request I had was a burden. I was hopeful when I realized there was a Cruisin Coffee in MV as I had only been to the Bellingham one. Man, im really bummed having to leave this review. I gave it a 2 because other experiences have been ok. I think it was the employees on this case. I ordered a sugar free iced chai and a toasted peanut butter bagel. I should have known something was off, given the girl who took my order wasn't the same person who charged me. I noticed I could hear laughter in the background and she was kinda holding back giggles but hey, staff can enjoy their time at work so I brushed it off. Got home to find this. Unfortunately I won't go back. Anyone with eyeballs knew this was ruined and should have been thrown away and remade so it wasn't charbroiled burnt, is unexceptable to serve to your pet, let alone a paying customer, yet they both laughed at me while i was driving away. AND I left a darn 2 bucks...
