Great lil Mom and Pops place to eat. I love to support local businesses when I can. Service was wonderful. Food was excellent. Crystal is a sweetheart. Everything I had was cleary made from scratch except the breaded mushrooms which were still really good. I will certainly eat here a couple more times before I leave town. I forgot to get pictures of our fried green tomatoes and fried mushrooms. Some of the best fried maters I've had in a very long time. Reminded me of grandmas cooking.

All I can say is TOO GOOD 😁🥞. I went here for the first time this morning with my friend and the food was AMAZING 😍. I only got a picture after I already ate some of my pancake and all of my eggs but it was good I forgot to take a pic. I would recommend coming down to Crystal's for breakfast. I think they close at 3pm but the breakfast is good enough. They do have lunch foods available also. Come down and ask for Stephanie she is great 😁

If you can eat in extreme heat go ahead and try it. It was about 85 degrees and the flies were horrible. Food was okay but I ordered a bowl of grits (see picture) for $2 more. It wasn’t much bigger than the cup. They were good but grits are inexpensive and I wanted more. I feel sorry for the workers to have to work in those conditions. Gumbo was greasy.

My family and I went to the diner for breakfast last Saturday and it was one of the worst dining experiences of my life. Things started off innocently enough. A very friendly server got our drinks and then a different server took our order. I ordered pancakes, bacon and eggs. My step mom ordered bacon and eggs and my sister ordered sausage and egg on an English muffin. While waiting... i realized just how filthy the dining room was. The caddies on our table that held the jellies were covered in a sticky film and the baskets containing sweeteners were covered in dirt. Just filthy. The restaurant also smells really bad... like spent cooking oil and a dirty refrigerator. The back wall was covered in dirt and not even painted all the way. It's like they started painting and said... screw it... and gave up. I looked up and noticed the ceiling tiles were stained a jaundiced looking yellow hue. An HOUR later we were still waiting for our food. We had to ask a few times why it was taking so long. The response was their were several orders before ours. If your kitchen cannot handle multiple orders at a time, DON'T SEAT THE TABLES. Go on a wait! When our food finally came out, it was very disappointing. The bacon was all burnt to a crisp and virtually inedible. The eggs had no flavor or seasoning at all. The sausage tasted ok. I will say the pancakes were very good but not enough to salvage the rest of it and the horrible experience overall. After waiting over an hour for our breakfast... which then became our lunch... the new owner wasn't even kind enough to offer a discount or a comp on any of our items. She just made excuses. Needless to say, we won't be back. It was...

It's quite sad that many of you writing reviews are basically judging because of smoking. You don't have to agree with it because obviously it's not your choice to do so. You probably expect a Denny's or steak & shake setting. Expecting every diner to be the same is ridiculous! It's an old country diner..... Come on now, you all should know better. I don't like certain things either but I'm not going to dislike a place because it goes against my morals. I'm having a hard time believing that the food tastes like cigarettes. Considering I've eaten there on multiple occasions. To be frank, it's one of the only places I can go in town without disrespectful people, or so I thought. It's interesting though considering I've seen some of the negative reviewers return throughout the week. If you dislike it to the point of writing bad reviews, why would you return? Hmm.......? Exactly. Guys at the diner, y'all are doing great. I don't think majority of these kids know the difficulty of preparing an old fashioned breakfast. It's understaffed, it's what happens with new owners. But if you know that then why complain about time consumption? It's irrational & frankly you're coming off as one of those impatient customers that no one likes. There's people before you? Yeah that means you need to wait. If you can't do that go to a fast for drive thru. I mean really, the mc d's in town can't even stay open late because it's run by kids who play around & don't prep thoroughly. So unless there's uhhh oh IDK proof that the owners are negligent(photos), get off that high horse and continue on your instagram or whatever you use as your...

Got a tip that they had good burgers. So took the family there to get some. After about 50 minutes of waiting we asked the server if the food was almost ready. She said yes. So we waited. And waited some more. After 80 minutes we told them that we had to leave. We were given excuses why it took so long With an insincere apolog and an offer to put it in a box for us. We had to be somewhere and I don’t want to pay all that money and have to eat my food in the car. If you have no where to be, it may be a good option for you. But to me, 80 minutes just isn’t worth any food to me. You’ll need to wash your clothes when you leave too, it’s small so the fryers don’t have much ventilation. Had high hopes of supporting a local business and spreading the word through out Mt. Washington, but being met with a defensive response from the owners, no thanks. I won’t visit again, and don’t recommend that...
