China Cafe — Restaurant in Mount Washington

I placed an order over the phone today and asked the sweet lady if I could just pick it up in the drive-thru (since I have a lil guy with me and it's a pain to just get him out and strapped back in to get food inside). She told me that would be fine,and it would be ready in ten minutes. We arrived in the drive-thru within ten minutes, and the food was ready. She was the nicest lady, (excellent customer service) already had utensils, napkins, and sauces ready to go in the bag too.

When we got home, I checked it all, and every bit of our order was accurate (including my son's "no onion" in his chicken fried rice). I asked for the sesame chicken to be made non-spicy (it shows it as spicy on their menu), and she had no problem fulfilling that request either! All of our food was accurate, hot, and fresh!

The crab rangoon was SOOO good. Let me just tell you, I'm very picky with crab rangoon too. They were smaller in size, and full of a sweeter cream cheese/crab mixture. They reminded me a lot of the crab rangoon at Max Orient in the Jefferson Mall - very delicious! They are the crab rangoon style where the mixture is placed in the direct center/bottom, and the rest of the wrapper gets pinched up at the top (my fave style). I've been to others where the rangoon was a triangular shape, and I'm not a big fan of those. They were super light and crispy too. Cannot say enough about how good they were, and I wish I had bought more!

The sesame chicken was wonderful It was the standard breaded chicken pieces covered with a sweet sauce and topped with sesame seeds. Yum! There were several broccoli pieces to accommodate the chicken as well as fried rice, a standard cabbage egg roll, and a fortune cookie. My son loved his chicken fried rice. He got seconds. He was also a fan of the wonton soup and wanted more when he was finished with his. They had placed 3 pork (I believe) dumplings in the bottom of his wonton soup, and he isn't a fan of noodles, so he refused to even try those, but I'm sure they were wonderful too.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience - excellent customer service, convenient, fast, accurate, affordable, and delicious. Cannot wait to go back! Just in case anyone is wondering, they do dine-in, carry-out, drive-thru, and even delivery for local orders. you can even order online too should you not feel like...

After a disappointing take out experience at El Nopal my husband decided to check out China Cafe. I waiting patiently at home with our 18 month old. We'd driven by many times but had never stopped in. He was extremely impressed by the cleanliness of the dining room. The guy at the front counter was pleasant. Our bill was cheap. When he got home the food was still hot. Mongolian beef was perfect. Pork lo mein, delicious. Crab Rangoon, good flavor but could have used a little more crab. The only thing I wasn't so impressed with was the egg roll. We will definitely be making this our new place when the craving for Chinese...

Absolutely amazing food and the service is top notch as well. It took us a long time to try China Cafe because we already had a restaurant in town we enjoyed. However, I found out they would deliver and we have been eating there regularly ever since. The food is truly amazing.
