Surin sets the bar high as one of Birmingham's finest Thai food establishments. Their consistently excellent food ensures a delightful dining experience. While I haven't sampled all their drinks, their dirty martini is simply outstanding.
The menu at Surin is a treasure trove of delectable options, and I've made it a mission to explore as much as possible. Each dish has left me satisfied, making it nearly impossible to go wrong with any choice. The salads, in particular, stand out for their superb taste and freshness. Personally, I find it hard to resist ordering their chicken noodle bowl for lunch each timeâit's that good.
The sushi at Surin is also a treat, with the wasabi maki roll holding a special place in my heart as one of the town's best sushi rolls. For appetizers, the crab angels and pot stickers are clear favorites, consistently delivering a burst of flavor.
One aspect that truly sets Surin apart is their lunch special, offering exceptional quality food at an unbeatable value. The combination of taste, value, and quality is unmatched in town.
Beyond the culinary delights, Surin's atmosphere is always inviting, creating a pleasant and enjoyable environment. The attentive staff adds to the overall experience, ensuring that you are well taken care of during your visit.
In conclusion, Surin is a gem in Birmingham, serving up some of the finest Thai food around. With an impressive menu, delightful sushi options, and mouthwatering appetizers, it's hard not to be impressed. Whether it's for a casual lunch or a special evening out, Surin never fails to deliver an exceptional...

Placed a to-go order last night and when I got there, the guy behind the bar charged me again even though I paid online. Luckily we caught it and he took care of it - he was quite nice about it. Got all the way home to realize my chicken dish was actually shrimp - but it was breaded so I couldn't tell from looking at it. They're quite lucky I don't have a shellfish allergy. It's not like it was busy when I went in, they had 2 or 3 tables and the place was empty. I called and they said they'd have my proper order waiting on me. Here's where the problem starts. When I walked in, I made eye contact with the manager who then conveniently ducked in the back before I got to the bar. She may have had something to do, I'm not sure, but she knew who I was and why I was there. As I was picking my food up she then quickly walked from the back into the kitchen. There was no mention of any sort of discount or compensation for having to make 2 trips, and my wife's food being now cold at home because she wanted to wait on me. Won't go back to this location based on this experience, and we're almost...
Read moreDuring a visit with my financial adviser he took my to one of his favorite lunch spots, Surin of Thailand. We were shown to a table right away, but it took quite a while to take our order. (Like a lot of restaurants they are obviously short oh staff. Meanwhile we were all served a cup of tofu coconut soup which excellent. For a main dish I had the Khoa Man Gai which according to the menu is a âMarinated boneless chicken breast with a crispy tempura, and aromatic Thai style rice cooked in chicken broth and a spicy ginger garlic dipping sauce, accompanied with dressed fresh greens.â It was very good, but I think next time I will have will have what my financial adviser ordered. He had his favorite, a soup with large pieces chicken. I donât remember the name of dish, but looked very good and he said it was excellent. A very nice expensive experience; I will...
