The facility is a little old, but I don't come to Frankies Burgers for the architecture or furniture (though they will be getting brand new tables soon, as of this writing, with slots for advertising built into them). I go to Frankies for the food. Bring an appetite and Frankies will bring the burgers. These are the kind you definitely are going to want both hands for. I haven't been disappointed by their portion sizes of the main dish yet. You get a side of fries and a soda with the burger. Even going in on an empty stomach, I leave nearly busting.
The burgers are excellently done, the type of things they put in fast food commercials but not what they give you when you get to the counter. Frankies has given me hope that real burger joints still exist in small towns. Check them out to see if you can't swap out that squashed fast food pancake for a real hamburger.
The fries are pretty much pitch perfect in my book as well. Golden colored, with a balance of salt and oil that just go hand in hand with a beautiful burger. I enjoy the fry sauce they make at the restaurant as well.
Staff have always been top notch. Friendly, professional, and helpful, it's always to be noted when a company has good employees. The manager himself is a reserved business-like fellow, but friendly and professional with every customer interaction I've seen in my five times of being there.
They have a unisex restroom at the facility and they are kept clean...
Read moreI've been eating st Frankies for years, and honestly it's always been one of my staple favorites. Their portions are fair, and the food is a guilty pleasure that keeps me coming back time and again. Their prices are very reasonable, and noticeably cheaper than restaurants of similar quality.
Let's be honest here, they're a greasy burger kind of a restaurant. They're not pretentious, and they don't try to fool you with an updated interior and fancy atmosphere. What you see is what you get, and what you get is excellent 👌
What made me leave a review after these past 3 or 4 years is their breakfast burritos. After every drunken night I always find myself calling up Frankies for that sweet sweet breakfast burrito. It's always been good, and their prices have never budged, but they have done something different with their burritos that simply has to be announced. The burritos hit different this morning, something with the cheese, and I feel like they put more meat in it too.
TLDR; Frankies is everything you want and nothing you don't for a reasonable price. Breakfast burritos are excellent, and fry sauce is included. Bonus: it's never...
Read moreWe stopped at Frankie’s Burgers during our family meet-up in Mountain Home. We meet here multiple times a year to exchange kids for holidays, school breaks and summer. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we waited over 30 minutes for our food. The staff seemed unfamiliar with the menu, as the counter person couldn’t offer any recommendations when asked. The food quality was inconsistent. The homemade shakes were a highlight, and the regular burgers were decent. However, my Hawaiian burger lacked flavor with just a thin slice of ham and a small piece of pineapple that was barely noticeable. The Philly cheesesteak was disappointing with burnt onions. The gyro was average, using pre-cooked meat that’s heated to order. The grilled cheese was acceptable though slightly overcooked for my preference, and the onion rings were tasty. By the time our food arrived, we were too hungry to be too critical, but the overall experience wasn’t worth the wait or price. We’ll be trying a different restaurant next time...
