My family and I went to Smokey Mountain Pizzeria for the first time this evening. There were 6 in our party. We all ordered, and our food all came out. My steak, ordered medium well, was extremely pink in the center. I waited for our waitress to come back around so I could request that it be cooked a bit longer. Everyone finished their meal, we all had almost empty cups, and we were the only dining party in the restaurant, but she never came back by, with not even so much as a visual of her at any point. When she finally came by, we requested refills and informed her that the steak was undercooked. She said they could cook the steak longer, but as everyone else was done eating, I did not want to hold them up. I took a box for my steak, since I had paid $24 for my meal. Additionally, at the beginning of our dining, I ordered tortellini for my child, which came with marinara but could come with Alfredo instead for only $0.50. They were out of the tortellini, so we had to order spaghetti noodles. Instead of charging $.50 more for Alfredo on this particular noodle, they said they had to charge me $2.99 for Alfredo sauce. The extra $2.49 means little, but the principal matters greatly. I will say the Alfredo sauce itself was the best I have had. Very unhappy with the service, from beginning to end. However, 4 out of 6 in my party thoroughly...
Read moreI Ordered a berry cheesecake for my sons birthday so he could enjoy it when he got off after work. SMPG delivered a crème brûlée with berries on top. I put the bag in the refrigerator to keep it cold until he got off work that is when I realized it was not the cheesecake I ordered but it was the brûlée. I called the store to let them know and was told a new cheesecake would be delivered within an hour. I thanked them and was happy with this resolution. However, an hour and a half later no cake. Called again to get an ETA and was told, literally almost scoldingly with attitude, a dessert had been delivered earlier in the day and questioned why I was so late in calling for a correction to the order. That even though we had been told a replacement was on its way, it was not and they were clearly not going to call to let us know that they had decided we were not getting the replacement cake. This call was taking place 30 minutes before closing. So I found this entire event to be the poorest customer service ever. According to my kids it’s their favorite food, so kudos for that, but I won’t be the one paying in the future. FYI: After that discussion a new and correct cheesecake was delivered in a timely manner. So thank you for...
Read moreThis was by far the worst place I’ve been to in Mt. Home. I was treated with such racial disrespect by the Manager and the person greeting patrons at the restaurant. When I entered the restaurant I was asked by the Wait staff person if she could help me as if I were being a nuisance and not a patron. Really? The wait staff person asked the couple in front of me “How they were doing tonight” and walked them to a table promptly. I suppose they thought because I wasn’t Caucasian I was there to clean floors or maybe wash the windows. However, on the other hand my server was very kind and treated me with respect. The manager did not try to approach me or and did not have the sense to inquire about what happened. Needless to say I left my server a tip greater than the cost of the meal for being a kind person. This server was very professional and should be managing the restaurant instead of this half wit pretending to be the manager. The moral of my story is: If your a person of color, or have slightly darker skin, or happen to be Asian - Go elsewhere. I will not pay for a meal and be racially discriminated. This place should employ and/or hire people that have more than a room...
