I had lunch today at Fremont Kabob in Mountain House, and I must say — this place is a hidden gem! Having already been a regular at their Santa Clara location, I had high expectations, and they exceeded every single one.

I ordered the Chapli Kabob, and it was phenomenal. The kabob was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and had that rich, authentic flavor you'd expect from top-tier Afghan cuisine. It came with fragrant basmati rice, a fresh cucumber-tomato salad, and two flavorful sauces that tied everything together beautifully. The warm Afghan bread was a lovely touch. Everything was halal, fresh, and served piping hot.

The ambiance in this new location is modern yet cozy, with soft Afghan music playing in the background — a perfect cultural touch. The staff was incredibly welcoming and made the whole experience feel personal and warm.

Now, the food absolutely amazing. I ordered the chicken kabob and it was cooked perfectly, juicy, flavorful, and seasoned just right. The rice was fluffy and aromatic, and the naan was fresh and soft, straight out of the oven. Everything tasted homemade and authentic, like it was prepared with real care. I also tried the lamb on a recommendation, and it just fell off the bone so tender and full of flavor. Portions were generous, prices were reasonable, and the whole experience felt like a true taste of Afghan hospitality and tradition. Fremont Kabob delivered an exceptional dining experience with its authentic and flavorful dishes. We began with the Borani Kadoo, Mantoo Appetizer, and Bolani Potato.
