From the moment I entered the restaurant, I had a very pleasant dining experience. I was made to feel instantly welcomed and was seated right away. I had arrived ahead of my party, so my waiter set me up with a drink while I waited and gave me a menu and a service set.
When I told him that my friend would have her son and daughter, he brought over two extra sets of services for them, plus a highchair for the little girl.
When they arrived, he returned and took their drink orders, then gave us time to decide on our meals before coming back to take our orders.
We both had the Mexican salad with chicken--and I have to say it was GOOD. And HUGE! Even the bowl used was interesting because it was shaped as a taco bowl (high in back but shorter in front) but was a melamine (or some such material). But I liked it because I'd never seen a delivery such as that before. Tortilla chips outlined the salad, sitting up all around the interior circumference of the bowl. The chicken was tender, and there were slices of avocados that added the right flavor to the salad. It also comes with refried beans, sour cream, and salsa as the dressing. I will say that most of the salad is lettuce, but it was filling and tasty nonetheless.
It was a good dining experience overall. My only "complaint" is with the small parking lot of the complex, but I managed to find a stall down by the complex's groomers, so it wasn't so bad in the end (and I learned there was a...

Good: Easy parking Prompt and friendly service A lot of regulars and restaurant staffers who warmly greeted them by name A large variety of dishes to choose from Food wasn't unduly heavy or greasy
Okay: Pricing tended mildly towards the high end for a straightforward comfort-food diner, but probably about what one would expect for Silicon Valley. $20 after tax/tip for a modest breakfast. Presentation: The beans were nearly overflowing from my plate. Atmosphere: Not too loud, reasonably comfortable.
I had the chilaquiles plate: corn chips topped with two eggs (any style), with a generous portion of homefries and beans on the side. The chilaquiles were a bit too spicy for my liking, but perhaps I'm just accustomed to the bland-wimp-guy version sans chiles and such. The potatoes seemed a little undercooked; I prefer mine crispier. But these were still flavorful. And the refried beans, er, how can you go wrong there?
The coffee was fine (better than usual diner quality) and the fresh-squeezed OJ was quite refreshing.
Will I be back? Probably. I'm hankering to try their fruit pancakes or french toast next time; I've heard especially great things about their banana...
Read moreI thought I had posted pics and rave reviews about a year ago but couldn't find it, so am posting another one. Most recently picked up breakfast this past Monday. Packaging still on point. Poached egg in the paper cup. Extra bonus points for including decent napkins and utensils without having to ask. I really like that you can customize things, for example i wanted a poached egg, hash browns, and bacon so I ordered them as sides or a la carte. I never want toast or any type of bread, which is often included, so I love this option. Poached egg was a little hard, but I prefer that to so runny there is liquid yolk everywhere when you pick it up. Bacon is thick and chewy, kind of like ham. Hash brown was fluffy and soft and smelled a little like when my frozen oreida hash browns absorbed some smells. I prefer more crisp on the outside. But all in all, a quick convenient breakfast that I didn't have to make, checks boxes. Fyi, ketchup does have high fructose corn syrup. Not an issue for me other than extra garbage, since I don't use ketchup on my breakfast eggs, bacon or...
