Perhaps this place Hyderabad Dum Biryani is ONLY a biryani place and not non-biryani, so Biryani lovers, you are ok with the rating. But for non-biryani eaters, the food (Palak Paneer and Dal Tadka) i ordered from this place was just hopelessly BAD.
There are many places from where i get mediocre food and i don't bother about leaving a review but because the rating here was 4.5 or thereabouts and the Palak Paneer and Dal Tadka were so bad i am compelled to leave a review.
Not kidding, the Palak Paneer i had tasted like Paint, like the paint you put on your walls. I hope i did not ingest some dyes or some chemical that these people served. Literally, if you were to drink coolant from your car, the Palak Paneer tasted like that.
Dal Tadka was absolutely tasteless and all i could taste was masalas. I get food from other Andhra places nearby and have eaten the same thing from them too, i swear this Dal Tadka was tasteless beyond belief.
Leaving a review so i myself remember to NEVER order from this place again. P.S.: The stellar rating this place has is perhaps for Biryani alone and i am certain their Biryani rocks. I understand they could be unbeatable in biryanis. So biryani eaters, you are good.
However, for those looking for food other than biryani, this place, in my view, is NOT more than 2 stars (and i am being kind with that, hope the paint like thing i had in their Palak Paneer doesn't give...
Read moreVery bad service, unpolite people, no communication skills, no manners. That's not how you do good business... Luckily there's plenty other options in the area... No need to interract w these ppl again. Update to the place's response: If you know that's not how it happened, how come you can't recollect what exactly happened?? Civilized ppl won't throw a tantrum or give you attitudes, they just walk away from bad business, so if you are waiting for something big to happen to change your ways, you're on the wrong path... The reason none of the workers could see anything is because they were too busy NOT SERVING, but chatting in the kitchen.... No matter how busy one is, a simple 'hello' is a minimum to acknowledge a customer and let them know if it will take a few minutes. No mature person with good BASIC social sense hangs up the phone mid sentence.... The way the kitchen looked said it all about this place. In a way is lucky I was forced to wait so long, I could see the dirt, grim, chaos and most importantly the unhygenic ways one of the ppl packed the take out orders... 🤮 To answer the last part of your response, no need to make it right. I will never return to such a place and will make sure friends and family...
Read moreBy far the best food to eat alone, on a cardboard box, in an empty living room. I was moving out of my apartment and decided to order Indian food for my last meal. It was a strange experience. I was sad about moving out, but how sad can you really be with Indian food? Every time the sadness felt overwhelming, I'd just take a dose of Indian food. I felt like I was in the movie, Inside Out and sadness and happiness kept competing against each other. When I have Indian food by my side I can go up against almost any emotion. Sadness turned out to be a pretty tough competitor. My strategy in the beginning was foolish. I thought that if I just ate really fast, sadness would never be able to attack. While this may have been a good idea in the short term, eventually I was going to run out of food. Then sadness would completely take over and I'd have no self defense. So I decided to eat slowly. This way I could take sadness in doses and whenever it felt too strong, I'd have some Indian food. Little bit of sadness, then a little bit of happiness. By the time I was done with my Indian food, I had already warmed up to the sad feeling so it wasn't too overbearing. Thank you INdGO for helping me deal...
