We had a very disappointing experience at the café on the Google campus in Mountain View. The cashier, Jay Aguilar, was extremely rude and gave us a very negative attitude from the moment we walked in. At one point, my son pointed at the dessert he wanted, and his finger touched the window. Instead of handling it politely or professionally, Jay gave him an unpleasant warning in a harsh tone — completely uncalled for, especially in a family-friendly environment.
What saved the experience from being a complete disaster was the sous chef, Roland. He brought our food with a kind attitude and even took the time to apologize for the cashier’s behavior. His professionalism and empathy were truly appreciated, but unfortunately, it doesn’t undo the poor service we received at the front.

It has a very artsy vibe to it. There is a wall of shelving facing the food line that showcases some interesting coffee cups that are not for sale. As we were waiting for our pastry, we noticed an artist putting the finishing touches on a geometric mural at the entry of a meeting room.
There is quite a variety of choices for reasonable cost. You can get sandwiches, salads, pastries and there are different coffee drinks, as well as water or other beverages.
There are several places to sit. In a main dining hall, there are comfortable couches with throw pillows at the entrance or you can choose a spot at tables with umbrella, cushioned seat and chairs on the patio.

Read moreI stopped by here today to pick up coffees and pastries to bring to visit a friend. The parking here makes it difficult to make this a quick trip. The lot for visitors if over at Shoreline Amphitheater, where much of the lot is designated for carpool and electric charging, making this a longer walk than anticipated to get to the cafe. My friend asked for a coffee with non-fat milk. Sorry, they don't have that. I'm allergic to dairy, so I asked for almond milk. Sorry only oat milk (which has more oil in than I want.) Sigh. OK, one black and one oat milk. Two coffees and two pastries, nineteen dollars. This doesn't seem that subsidized to me. Although other reviews mentioned outdoor seating, I didn't see any at all. There was nothing here that would draw me back for a second visit. A Silicon...
