Roscoe T's Bar-B-Que — Restaurant in Mountain View

We went last night around 5:30 and had an amazing dinner and experience. Everything was exceptional. The pulled pork was very lean unlike most BBQ restaurants. The brisket was also delicious. We were originally skeptical to take our 6 yr old because she's a very very picky eater and the only thing on the menu we'd know for sure she'd eat was chips. She ate every bit of her brisket and very quickly. She even ate the very thin line of fat I cut off because I'm a texture person. She asked her dad and I if she could marry her brisket. 4 hrs later she randomly asked us if she could go live at "that place we had dinner" when she was old enough to move out. It was definitely memorable for her. We also sampled the sausage after one of the owners was telling us about it. I HATE SAUSAGE! But, this was great! It wasn't greasy and didn't have any of those gristly bits that make me hate sausage so much. It paired very well dipped in the honey mustard BBQ. The beans were the best beans I'd ever had!! My favorite part of the whole meal. I did enjoy the potato salad as well, which I never order at a restaurant because nothing tastes as good as my mom's. Other than I like mine overly loaded in pickles and most people don't, it tasted like my mom's! The only thing I wasnt super in love with was the hot BBQ sauce, but that is preference alone. This is a great place in Mountain View to have some BBQ! Very delicious ribs and sides. I got a rack of ribs and they were very tender and had plenty of meat on the bones, unlike some other BBQ places. They were delicious! They have sweet & hot sauce. I tried them both and they were both great! For a little variety, mix them together. 😉 They give you the meat with no sauce, so you can add as much or as little as you want, or none at all. I had the potato salad and baked beans as sides. They were both delicious but, in my opinion, a little on the small side for the money, hence the 4 stars. I got 3 meals out of the ribs though, so they are worth the money!

The staff is very friendly, and the decor is very tasteful. They have done a great job with it. Everything was very clean and organized. They have a side table with garnishes on it (pickles, jalapeños, onions, etc) so you can pick out whatever you like.

Another customer had a huge order of brisket nachos and I took a picture of them. They look awesome and delicious, so next time that's what I'm having! 😁

A couple of suggestions: maybe consider a larger side dish, especially if the customer is buying an entire rack of ribs or a large portion of meat. (maybe have a regular side & a large side as well?) Also I'd like to see a family meal on the menu, where you can buy a rack of ribs, or a family sized portion of meat, (maybe choose 2 or 3 meats to all go together?) along with maybe 3 large sides, for one money. So who else out there has went to Roscoe T's Bar-B-Que here in mountain view, Missouri and gotten bad food? The portions are getting smaller and the prices getting higher. Well every restaurant worth their salt is going to listen to their customers and any customer with a back bone is going to speak up about the fact that they are doing this. A friend of mine today was yelled at by the owner of roscoes because he ordered some food and the turkey sandwich had one slice of turkey. Thinking it was a mistake he took the food back. The owner yelled and threw food and banned my friend from his restaurant. Mind you my friend is very polite actually overly polite. He is not the only one that has had to deal with the owners horrible attitude. Multiple people who have gotten food and had to take it back got the same treatment. You don't treat your customers like this. Roscoe T's Bar-B-Que need to realize that their customers is what keeps their lights on and start treating them with respect and kindness. I have noticed that if your not one of their buddies they treat you terribly. If you don't drive a $50,000 or more vehicle they don't give you any respect at all. The owner is very disrespectful and quiet honestly I wouldn't be surprised if he's abusive as well considering how he treats people that pays his bills.
