Let me start this off by saying our waitress was WONDERFUL! I’m not sure of her name but she was an older woman with short hair that had some highlights in it. My family (me, my 2 girls, and their father) came here for a Mother’s Day lunch, and it would have gotten 5 stars if not for some of the staff. The food was great, it was cheap, and again our waitress was so kind and provided great service. Halfway through the meal, our waitress was busy as she had multiple tables and had just taken an order. We were seated close to the employee area and register, and heard her ask the 2 women standing around at the register doing absolutely nothing if they could please ring in an order for her. One of the women was a blonde with an accent, presumably a manager, which makes this situation even worse. The other woman was another waitress who had longer dyed blonde hair that was crimpy, pulled back with a clip, a lot of tattoos (one was a cross on her left arm,) super thick middle school eyeliner, and really bad teeth. Instead of the manager and other waitress offering to help, the tattooed waitress immediately starts cursing at her - loudly in front of the whole restaurant. She continues to belittle her and even approaches her and gets in her face, literally 5 feet from our table. The manager is doing absolutely nothing and our wonderful waitress walked away from the situation. The gross waitress walked back to the register with the manager and they both start gossiping and laughing about it. I was honestly stunned at the bullying happening right in front of everyone. The rest of my shift was filled with hearing the tattooed woman curse and talk negatively to basically every other worker in there about my waitress. The fact that this behavior was not only not addressed but encouraged by a manager is DISGUSTING. You could see the hurt in our waitresses eyes and she even apologized for the entire situation, and I assured her that it was ok and it was not her fault. What was supposed to have been a good afternoon turned into me having a heavy heart for the rest of the day due to witnessing the bullies that are employed at this place. If I am ever back, it will ONLY be for our wonderful waitress who...
Read moreWent here with loved ones about 5 months ago and since then I've been thinking about it. The prices are reasonable and the quality, believe me , isn't compromised. I got crabcakes with shrimp and the waitresses said she thinks the crab was shipped from Maryland. We had about 5 different waitresses the entire time so we got a chance to see the eclectic talents of all the waitresses on full display!
When the food came out the crabcake was nice and crumbly and the crab absolutely had to be from Maryland! I know because it had a nice aged flavor to it. The shrimps that surrounded the crabcakes were a surprise! They weren't even offered with crab cakes on the menu! I hope they were meant for me and I'm not stealing because I ate them! They had a nice elastic texture to them; that's usually a sign of quality shrimps...I wonder if they were from Maryland, too! And the potato chip bag was placed professionally in the center and they were LAYS brand!
So in the process of eating my dinner and enjoying the company, and especially humor, of everyone I was with I then decided that dinner exceeded my expectations so much so I absolutely had to try their desserts that they think they got from a bakery in New Jersey! I got the pumpkin pie! I got waitress number 4 for dessert and she brought over a slice of pecan pie instead of pumpkin probably just to show me how good it looks and believe me it did. She was modest enough to tell me she thought that it was the pumpkin pie and not pecan. But even if she was confused, it's ok..The resemblance was uncanny, it would have tricked me myself...pies are confusing! So I get the pumpkin pie and it had a nice moist crust and the pumpkin filling was nice and crispy! Everyone should come here at least once in their...
