We rode the Santa 80 min train which was ok. Not a very scenic ride. Wish there was more entertainment for the kids since it was a Santa train we thought there would be more interaction. Santa came through very quickly once and that was it. No other entertainment was provided. No snacks or beverages are available. No gift-shop either. The kids were bored very quickly. We sat in first class which is not bad it could be cleaner. The bathroom was out of order so you had to walk pretty far to use the bathroom. Just wish you got more for what we paid for we spent $150 for just a round trip with very little to see and no entertainment. We literally sat on our phones and used the iPad for our little one and that was more entertaining than the train ride. There is someone to guide you to park but there is no one to guide traffic in the way out which made it terrible to get out of the parking lot. Get there early and park...

Me and my husband love trains (well, I like trains and my husband LOVES trains). ;) He especially loves the 2102. This railroad is truly top-notch. Not only is this a wonderful railroad, but the people who work here are magnificent, too. I'd love to give Russ Scianna a shout-out. He truly goes above and beyond every single day. His hard work and knowledge is evident and his cheery disposition is contagious. You can just tell how much he loves what he does for a living. His narrations on the train are AWESOME (and hilarious, too!) Our family absolutely always has a fun time when at this railroad. Thanks Russ, and thanks to all the other wonderful folks that make the experience a remarkable one. You help to create wonderful, lasting memories for lots and lots of families, so thank you for that. Keep it up, and keep being you!...

Took the Budd Rail Diesel Train to Jim Thorpe. Crew were all very knowledgeable, friendly and personable. The car was very nice and padded seats were pretty comfortable even for the 3.5 hour trip. The view was amazing the entire trip. Just beautiful with trees and water- I saw a couple of herons. Snacks were available. We also took the trip back. Was able to leave a sweatshirt on our seats in between trips as train was locked which really helped identify our seat once the backs of the seats were turned for trip back. Most people could not figure out where there seats were on return which was mildly irritating for some but most people just went with the flow of...

Second time at the RBMN today, and had a great time yet again. First time was for the Rambles. Today, we were in the Bud RDC’s. Got to Outer Station at 8:00, and everything was ready to go. Clean restrooms too! Hopped on the train and while waiting to depart Outer Station, Andy Muller was even there helping prepare the train! Cool to see the boss helping out too. Once the train departed, you had the option to get some light snacks and beverages at good prices. Car Hosts and the Conductor were friendly, and we had a great time overall. For $40 for a trip up to Jim Thorpe and back, you can’t beat it! Much better than other railroads in the state experience-wise and price-wise.

The RBM&N runs a phenomenal train! Whether it be steam behind the 2102 and soon to be the 425 once again, or the various diesel locomotives, you’re going to have a grand ol’ time! They inform you about the route and the historical significance of the scenery, route, and train while riding. I’ve also chased the trains two times. It is a grand show!! Coming out of the Port Clinton stop with a steam powered locomotive is a life changing experience. The 2102 literally shook me around as it went by!!! If you like trains at all, go visit!!
