DO NOT USE PLANET FITNESS! They make it a nightmare to cancel your account. I have been trying to cancel for months since I moved out of state you have to either go there personally or send a letter. Which is ridiculous. What other company does that?
I finaly sent a letter certified to planet fitness to cancel my account, the woman on the phone told me that I had a balance on my account that it had to be taken care of before they would close my account.
I earlier stopped payment on the account because they wouldn't work with me. I see now that it was a mistake because they then charged me $10 of a late fee because of doing the stop payment.
I asked them after 9 years of not missing a payment to give me a one time forgiveness and they would not do it.
I finally got the account cancelled and today noticed on my credit card that they charged me for another month of service even though my account was cancelled. I called and asked why this was on there and they told me the reason they charged me again is because I did not cancel my account within a week before the next payment was due.
This place has 0 compassion for their customers.
Even when I used to go there to work out and ask the people behind the counter for help they acted like it was a bother to talk to them and had little to no knowledge of how to do a proper workout.
I would not recommend this place to my enemy! Do yourself a favor and remember you get what you pay for and go somewhere else that actually cares about you than this...
Read moreI regret having to report that I had to quit the club in haste after having felt oppressed by management when I was told I could not wear crocs. In addition to being a disabled veteran, it happened on Veterans Day as I was ending my workout. Mind you I've been a member for well over a year and visit the club 3 - 4 times a week and on EVERY visit, I have ALWAYS worn my crocs without commentary or incident. In fact, one of the club members complimented me on a new pair. Because of my disability, I have to wear footwear that is easy to put on and take off. I am told by their management that they don't allow crocs because of "safety concerns". The additional info nation I was provided was what if a weight fell on my foot. I guess they are not edified in footwear like full sneakers made of canvas which are even less safe than crocs. Even after I clearly explained to the manager that I have a disability and I do walk visibly assisted, she did not care. She did not care I am a disabled veteran and she did not care that it was veterans day. She also mentioned that it's out of her hands and after speaking to their corporate office, I was told each club can modify its own policy. So what I am left thinking? A power-hungry manager without empathy or sympathy. That's what I...
Read moreI went into Planet Fitness gym on 5th St. Highway on Sunday evening 7/29/18 at about 10 PM. There was a male janitor by the PF 360 area. He clearly saw me walk into the female locker room. About 30 secs later, I heard a door open from shower area and he entered the locker room without announcing himself. The sign was not at the door. I approached the girl at the desk and asked why he is allowed in there with women changing and showering. The girl said he is allowed and you are the 1st person to complain. I said well can you have him come out because I am uncomfortable with a strange man I'm there while I am changing and using the restroom. She said well let me get the sign that says he is in there. I said, well it's a bit late for that. I asked her again, but she refused to address him. I asked the guy if he could step out from the bathroom area so I could at least use the restroom and he refused to move. Terrible service when you pay to use facilities. Is this normal for male staff to be in there when women are changing and showering? The girl pretty much said you have to deal with it.. That is not safe and what happens if a woman gets raped or assaulted in the bathroom because you allow random...
