It saddens me to write this, as I’ve visited Bee Well Cafe before and had good experiences. Unfortunately, this time was very different.
When I went to order food, I asked a simple question about the avocado toast. Instead of answering, the owner rudely threw a menu at me and told me the information was there. I understood she was busy, so I placed my order and sat down.
The three girls with me went up afterward to order smoothies. After waiting 15 minutes, I went to check on the smoothies, and the owner became extremely upset, telling me it would take at least 15 more minutes and asking if I wanted to wait. I replied calmly, saying, "We’ve already waited 15 minutes, so what’s another 15?" That seemed to upset her further, and she ended up kicking me out.
When I asked about getting my money back, she initially refused but eventually threw the money at me. I resolved the matter with one of the employees and took only what I was owed. Later, I realized I had dropped my credit card inside, so I sent the girls to retrieve it. They were clearly scared of the owner, and my daughter said she initially refused to hand over the card. My daughter apologized for me, not because I had done anything wrong, but because she was frightened the owner might kick her out too.
It’s upsetting to see children treated this way. We won’t be returning—not because the food isn’t good, but because the owner seems to lash out under stress. Customers should feel comfortable asking questions without fear of being ridiculed or yelled at. I truly believe this could have been avoided if there had been more help available during such a busy event. It’s sad for everyone who had to witness this unnecessary conflict.
My daughter and her friends were really scared because of the way you were yelling. All three girls mentioned that you were the one yelling, and it made them uncomfortable. They didn’t want to return, but they did so because I asked them to. It also seemed like you were reluctant to refund my money, citing being too busy. I understand things can get hectic, but that’s not something the customer should have to bear. I wanted to be honest with you about how this situation made us feel.
I want to be clear that I was not being rude or passive-aggressive. It seems like you felt frustrated because you were overwhelmed with orders, but unfortunately, that frustration was directed at me. As a customer, I shouldn’t have been treated that way, and I don’t believe it’s fair to take out stress on others. I’m okay with not returning to support your business, as I expect better treatment as a...
Read moreOwner is very rude. A lady was there who ate and ordered smoothies and after waiting a half hour she went to ask about the smoothies. The owner completely snapped on this poor costumer who was there with children. The lady explained calmly that it's okay she can wait longer, she just thought they forgot about the smoothies because it was so long of a wait. The owner barrated this poor lady in front of her children and then called the police. The lady somehow remained calm and then the owner called the police, offered a refund and then made her wait for her refund. This was surreal. I didn't appreciate my children seeing this. This poor lady somehow remained calm still with her children witnessing all of this. Now I'm reading reviews and see the owner berating people posting negative reviews- unbelievable. Never again will my children be...
