Overpriced and heavily underdilivered. Our reservation began by being greeted by a sticky table in a small, overcrowded, and loud side room. Food prices are far too high for what is delivered. We ordered the Greco Italian salad and the pork shoulder sandwich. The poached eggs in the salad were cooked perfectly, however, that was the only item cooked well. The "grilled" pita bread (for the love of God do not grill pita bread) was extremely burnt. Never once have I thought; you know what my bread needs? Burnt grill marks! The pita bread (Not homemade) tasted like eating pure carcinogens. As for the pork shoulder that was claimed to have "slow roasted for 12 hours" was more like 12 minutes. The meat was chewey and chunky. When you slow roast pork (for a true 12 hours) it should be easily shredded and just fall apart with the slightest pressure. What I instead received were 5 massive lumps of tough meat. The side of macaroni and cheese was nothing more than Cellentanti Rigate noodles in a KRAFT MAC N' CHEESE powder sauce...c'mon we live in Wisconsin if you can't do cheese right then what are we doing...?
Needless to say, plates were left with all the burnt pita on the plate and 90% of the meat from the pork sandwich. Concerns were raised about the food with the staff member who removed the plates. We only received back a smile and "ok". We paid our full overpriced bill, 20% tip (for service that was not personable and clearly trying to turn and burn us), and walked out never to return.
We ask why restaurants are closing at an alarming rate? Perhaps sticky tables, Kraft mac n cheese, burnt pita, and tough meat is a good place to start. Especially when the only response from staff when advised of...
Read moreI would have given this place 5 stars if it weren’t for the extremely rude server. The food deserves 5 stars, it was delicious! The first 4 people of our party arrived just after 5 on a busy Friday night and were seated within a few minutes. The last couple arrived at 5:30, after appetizers and drinks were already served to the couples who arrived early. After about 10 minutes the last couple ordered drinks and another 10 minutes went by before our food order was taken. The food was served in a timely manner for a busy Friday night. Like I said the food was good. After dinner our waitress came by and started clearing plates and asked if anyone needed anything else. I wanted to order dessert to go. When I asked for the dessert menu I was rudely told I had to order it to go because we were already over our 2 hour limit at the table. At this point it was 6:45(30 minutes short of 2 hours) and I was already planning on ordering it to go. She then repeated again that we were at our time limit and tried to say that our party had been there 40 minutes earlier than we actually were. Of course then we had to wait for our checks for over 10 minutes and she just continued to be rude again stating we were over our time limit and that she didn’t make the policy. I didn’t see a 2 hour max time limit posted, but it could have been. And I don’t have an issue with that at all. I do have an issue with a waitress telling us we were at 2 hours when we weren’t and then constantly repeating it yet making us wait for our bill. I was so looking forward to trying this place and the food was very good, but our server wasn’t....
Read moreHorrible experience. 36th wedding anniversary- its been a rough past few years. Planned a celebration here, trying to forget troubles. Arrived at 5:30 pm and was told there was a 10-15 min wait. No problem. A little after 6 pm we asked about our table. The hostess first said there was no reservation for us and there was back & forth. Then after my husband asked her to check her computer by his phone number instead of his name, she told us we cancelled after a text was sent to us. We showed her his phone with no text from them. We were in eyeshot the whole time. The hostess was argumentative, never apologized and said another 10-15 minutes. Our favorite server, who must have been acting as manager, came to talk to us. I relayed what happened. She offered a dessert. We said no thank you. She said nothing about getting us a table sooner, though i said that would have made it right, still no table. We were done. As we left I said, thank you very much for the wonderful anniversary dinner. The server/manager followed us out to the parking lot and said how rude we were and that the hostess was bawling. She didnt seem too upset when she was arguing with a customer about reservations. Really? A ruined anniversary should be acknowledged. When I called back and spoke to the server/manager she argued and said she offered us a table right away. She did not or this would have all...
