I’ve been coming to this place for years and let me just say… these guys are amazing! I have mainly ordered food for to go but every single time the staff has been incredibly sweet and accommodating to both me and my husband. I usually always get the same thing (Chilaquiles verdes con chorizo), but my husband is definitely more adventurous than me. He’s a huge fan of their sausage gravy and has tried practically every dish that contains it (there are more than you’d expect). He’s had the classic biscuits and gravy, the farmers skillet, and the country benedict I believe it’s called. My husband also has a habit of ordering a side of said gravy and throwing it on top of any skillet he orders (especially the country one). Hubbys considering bribing a server for the recipe lol. Recently my daughter ordered one of the iced coffees there and WOW!! They have homemade coffee cubes???!!! How genius is that
I believe she tried the caramel flavored one but I’m more of a vanilla gal so I would definitely recommend that one.
The real test that has me saying this place is a true gem, was when we officially dined in. Lord knows I’ve been missing out. Staff is super friendly and open to chitchat (both in spanish and in english might I add) Server was constantly going around with coffee and pop refills, we were able to get a side of the creamer used for iced coffee for our regular cups, they had a very nice and welcoming mural on the wall and art all over the place that I actually got to sit and admire.
They also had aguas frescas such as horchata, jamaica, and an orange one I believe might be melon. Can’t wait to try.
Overall a very homey and welcoming family owned place with amazing comfort food and music.

Read morePersonally, I wish I could give it a zero, but some of the food was OK.
There were 4 of us. Meal 1: The scrambled eggs were not scrambled, they were like egg pancakes. The sausage was good, the French Toast was good. Meal 2: French toast sticks were good, Bacon was good and crispy. Meal 3: Crepes were eh... and bacon was floppy. Meal 4: which was the controversial meal: the cottage cheese, was fine, can't mess that up it comes in a container. and the Grilled cheese had ONE PIECE OF CHEESE in it. ate it, didn't complain, paid for the food, left a good tip. however, after paying for the food, told the server that we were disappointed that there was only ONE PIECE of cheese on the Grilled Cheese, to which she argued and said no there were 3 and that she saw it. We weren't even asking for anything just telling her of our grilled cheese debacle. NO WAY were there three pieces of cheese, and DANG I wish I would have taken a picture of that measly sad grilled cheese. So while several of the folks in our party would have come back here, maybe I would have too, but when the person checking you out calls you a liar and argues about your order, heck no, will any of us EVER come back or recommend that ANYONE ever come here ever.
Too bad because we all live...
Read moreUPDATE in response to the business owner’s reply to my review above: you either have me confused with a different dissatisfied customer (I received no apology or explanation; just the lie about my eggs; and I did not have a bill) or you are perpetuating the lie. Either way, customer, beware
ORIGINAL: I wish it were possible to leave zero stars to match the amount of food they brought me. They were busy and I was willing to wait for my order based on how long my neighbor at the counter waited for his food. When I asked to make sure they didn’t forget about my order after patiently waiting 50 minutes I watched the server go into the kitchen and riffle through papers to find my order. Then another person came out to me and said “they’ve just been hung up on your eggs, how did you want them done?”. With that I left. Not only did I not get an apology, they literally lied and covered up their mistake. How dumb do they think I am? I would definitely have been willing to wait the couple minutes it then would have taken them to “make my eggs”. People make mistakes and I would have been understanding. Instead they insulted me with a lie and no apology. If this is the culture at this restaurant I want no part of it. I will...
