I'm so confused by the positive reviews because I honestly thought we had the wrong place!
We were looking for a rainy day activity. Upon entering, we were not greeted by the one owner/employee... and the ceiling was casually pouring water into a bucket right in the entryway. There isn't a bar (no big deal), but the guy said we can go grab liquor elsewhere and bring it in. It isn't clearly posted how much bowling is, how to check out/start a game, or what food they offer. The shoes are in cubbies right in the entry and look a little sketchy and musty. It wasn't clear if we just grab some or what the situation is? And the guy was casually leaning there. Not exactly eager to explain or get us set up for a game. When I said we wanted to eat and bowl, he stated that there was only one working lane which is first come, first serve...and that another group had just run to the liquor store expecting to have the lane when they get back. So, if we want drinks we should hurry and drive to beat them back, otherwise it's pen and paper scorekeeping.

Read moreHappy’s Place in Munising serves some of the best pizza around, and the fact that they’re open year-round is a major bonus. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, you can count on their pizzas to hit the spot every time. The crust is perfectly crispy, and their toppings are always fresh and generous. There’s a great selection, from classic pepperoni to unique specialty options, and they’re not shy with the cheese! It’s a go-to place that you can rely on no matter the season, and the cozy, welcoming vibe makes it even better. Highly recommend grabbing a pie here, no matter what time of year...

Dave is very generous; he provided free bowling, food, and drinks to all of the kids in town on New Year’s...
