Cookout is a fast food chain that is known for its low prices and large menu. They have everything from burgers and chicken to milkshakes and quesadillas. I recently went to Cookout for the first time, and I was overall impressed with the food. I ordered the Cookout Tray, which comes with a burger, fries, a side, and a drink. The burger was pretty good. The patty was cooked to order, and it was juicy and flavorful. The fries were also good, but they were a bit on the greasy side. The side I got was the cheese curds, which were also pretty good. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The service at Cookout was average. The drive through line was long, but it moved quickly. The cashier was friendly and helpful. The food came out fairly quickly, but it was a bit cold. Overall, I had a decent experience at Cookout. The food was good, but it wasn't anything to write home about. The service was average, and the drive through experience was just okay. I would definitely go back to Cookout again, but I wouldn't make it my first choice for fast food. Additional Thoughts: One thing I would like to see Cookout improve on is their drive through experience. The line was long, and the food took a while to come out. I would also like to see them offer more vegetarian options.

I have always loved Cook Out's food and their prices, but lately, it seems like everything has changed. The food is still delicious! But the serving sizes have shrink significantly, almost losing a third of what I used to get, but prices have gone up. When I first moved to TN 6 years ago, Cook Out was a failure favorite because we could go get a tray for between $5-$6. I just went and got a small hamburger tray with fried and cheese bites, only mustard and it cost me almost $11! And I only got 4 cheese bites. 4! They also don't season their fries anymore and my fries were almost raw. Plus my drink didn't have the lid on all the way, had ice cream all over the outside and she does my card on the ground so I had to get out of my car to pick it up out of some trash and soda that was on the ground. Definitely not the best experience at all! And for the price...??? Almost $11, which is nearly double the price from 6 years ago. Very disappointing.

I had never heard of this place but my friend invited us to have lunch here and then take the kids to Climb Murfreesboro after. I was shocked at the prices. For 2 kids and myself (though I wasn't very hungry, just had an order of cajun fries), our total was less than $10. We'll come back later for milkshakes! I would order a burger or chicken sandwich if I came back. My friend had the chicken sandwich and it looked good. It's fast food (food did actually come out super fast too) so it's not the healthiest but the kids enjoyed it. I wish the fries were crispier. They do have lots of dipping sauces including the good kind of ranch! I noticed bible versus on the containers before I threw them away. I like that. My friend fed 7 people for under $50. Crazy!

I hate this because I never in my life have been so upset with a place that I felt like I needed to post a review about it but here we are. Went to this location this evening to get two jr trays and two regular trays. Orders weren't too difficult, I don't think. The jr trays were fries nuggets and a cheeseburger with just mayo and the other was a cheeseburger with ketchup and mustard and a double order of fries. Husband ordered the out west style or whatever with the BBQ, with his hush puppies side and sweet tea and I ordered the double chicken quesadilla tray with cheese bites and hush puppies cheerwine to drink, his burger was still raw and his bacon was pink and raw. Somehow they heard chicken tenders out of "double quesadilla tray, chicken please" and the chicken tenders are inedible considering how hard they were I couldn't even bite it and my "2 sides" were literally 5 hush puppies and 4 cheese curds. I ordered a big tea and a big cheerwine and they gave him his tea big but gave me a reg cheerwine and by that I mean a cup of ice with two sips of cheerwine, I wish I was kidding. Normally, not a big deal but I got charged for the things I ordered despite receiving something else and the upcharge for the big drink despite not receiving the big drink so I decided to call and see if they could fix that for us so we could actually eat the food we paid for, AND NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE AND THE "CUSTOMER SERVICE" LINE SENT ME TO VOICEMAIL?!?! So now not only am I out of the money we spent, but we also cannot even eat the food because it's raw or overcooked so badly it's not chewable? Just check your orders before you leave and hope you actually get staff willing to do something about their mistakes. If it didn't happen like this where something is messed up every time we go, I honestly wouldn't even be here complaining but the fact that customer service didn't even answer and now I'm out that money and still hungry bc the food issue? I guess I'm just hoping someone reaches out to fix the issue because I really like y'all's food normally and Im understanding I know y'all get busy but come on this is not...

If I could give this location a zero I would. It was the worst experience I've ever had at a cookout and we are huge cookout fans. If it was my first time visiting I would never ever go back to cookout but thankfully I know it isn't like this at other locations. They not only took 3-5 minutes to even acknowledge our presence in the drive through but then proceeded to not be able to understand that I wanted an original style grilled chicken sandwhich. So, instead of making sure they understood correctly they just made whatever they wanted. Then they took about another 10 minutes to even get us our food (which is fine if they would've gotten the order correct). Upon recieving the food and realizing my order was wrong my husband went in to get it corrected. This is what really upset me because not only did one of the workers come up but they didn't even make eye contact with him and when she turned her back to my husband she then said someone will be with you shortly. How hard is it to make eye contact with a customer and say that. You don't want to be there? Great leave your job and let someone who actually wants the job have it. When the one guy finally came up to talk to my husband the guy didnt even know what an original style chicken sandwhich was and yet again acted like he did and gave my husband a new sandwhich...It was wrong yet again...By this time we were so done with this location we decided it was time for a refund and move onto a different place. If you want to try cookout I would highly recommend trying the other one located on S Rutherford Blvd because this location...

This is an edit to my original 2 star review. If you're curious about the original review it is in the brackets below. Corporate did reach out to my original review; but I did not reply nor ask for anything to make my situation better. I just decided to give it a few weeks and return to see if management had made any changes to customer service.

As before I decided to frequent the business not during a rush. With in a few minutes of being inside someone came from the back to see if anyone was needing their order taken or needed anything. The guy at the cash register was mannerly and took my order in a reasonable time. After that service was fast preparing my food and the food looks good. I will continue to frequent this establishment as long as service continues as such.

I applaud management for taking care of the customer service issue...

[I frequent this place quick a lot during various times of the day and I feel like customer service has been going down lately if you go in anytime that isn't during the rush. Today I went inside to order and eat. Stood at the front counter for 5 minutes and no one ever came up front to ask me if I needed my order taken. A guy from the back did come up front to give out an order to an already paid customer but he never asked if anyone else was needing to order. After waiting a little longer I couldn't just stand there anymore so I walked out. It's really a shame because I like...
