Munch — Restaurant in Murfreesboro

A delightful experience filled with character. Service super fast, served steaming hot by personnel that could stand as superheroes of customer service.

It's a little hidden in a high traffic area, don't blink or you can miss it. I'll add a picture of the strip centre's sign and a wide few so you won't miss it.

It has a charming tennor whimsically hooking you back to simpler days of youth. If you have an eye for detail, you may super heroes have your back. To the left and right are motifs giving you the view that Superman might see flying over the countryside.

If you haven't been in, do pop by, especially if you are on the go. The staff will have you in and out with either a dine-in or takeaway meal. I sample a spicy salmon bowl. It was pretty good but, if reviews actually get read, I can't 5⭐ every place.

The rice used was, by my opinion - what do I know right, a good, high-quality, low starch grain that maintained a loose-grain presence while achieving a brown rice taste, texture and mouth-feel. It would make a top-shelf sushi rice. The salmon was likewise tasty, firm and flaky, perhaps an ever so tiny, almost not worth mentioning, dry. There were a few melt in your mouth baby carrots.

While Munch is definitely a "Must Try", and I mean that - do stop in an meet some of the lovely and congenital people who know their customers by name; however, perhaps a more firm carrot, softer rice and add a bright green sprig of cilantro for garnir (or even as an ingredient to add some level of complexity). Or maybe a leaf or 3 of spinach or romaine under the rice for crunch and texture.

Clearly from the volume of regulars they have - and level of personal attention and love the professional staff rained down, they don't need my thoughts - but if I take a star from any place - I feel I am obligated to throw something out there as food for thought. You know, to make something really good even better.

Today was my first time trying Munch. I usually prep and bring my meals to work but today was an extra busy morning. Instead of ordering something unhealthy that does not fit my healthy lifestyle I gave this place a try. I ordered through Uber eats and they had a “spend $30 save $6” so I decided to get two meals and 2 sides so I have something for dinner as well and don’t have to think about it. I got the Chipotle chicken wrap and a side of mixed veggies for my lunch, and the Turkey cheeseburger bowl and rosemary potatoes for my dinner. So far I’ve only had lunch and WOW! that was way better than I was expecting. It was yummy, full of chicken and the chipotle ranch sauce was amazing! I didn’t read any reviews on here before hand but I did see that they are highly rated on Uber eats so I gave it a shot. Some of these reviews on here are a little discouraging so I’m hoping that it wasn’t just a one time thing and that the Turkey cheeseburger bowl will be good too. I’ll update my review when I do eat it. One thing I did notice just glancing at it was that the ground Turkey looks pretty undercooked from what bit I could see poking out from under the toppings. I usually love this place. It is my weekly treat I get for me and my husband since I gave been dieting, over a year now. But sometimes we get it and it's wonderful, others are just terrible. Unless we are in the Murfreesboro area, we get it delivered by Uber eats. We always get her m a cheeseburger turkey bowl with extra onions and turkey. Sometimes they put it in there, alot if times they don't. I always order 2 buffalo chicken quesadillas for me, for 2 days. I have been ordering extra cheese, because alot of times it's just the chicken and sauce in there. Today, once again, no extra on his bowl, and barely just a bit of a shred of cheese on mine, just a ton of sauce. Once when we received it, the quesadillas literally maybe a teaspoon of filling in each one.vi called and took them back, he apologized said he was in a hurry and replaced them I quit ordering on Sundays after receiving poor products but today was a major disappointment. I love this place , but when I receive it, once again, like we did today, I think I am done. Such a shame. Their food is really delicious but you never know what you are...
