1st cup- we all know that these smoothies cost more than they should… that being said after paying up charges for added ingredients one would think they would at least give you your moneys worth (every location we’ve ever ordered from in several different states always seem to take care of their customers) this particular location however, they are definitely ripping people off if this is what they serve. Sorry, but we work hard for our money and I almost didn’t make this review but the insincerity and attitude from the staff definitely convinced me to. Seeing the poor reviews on this fairly new franchised location is a really bad look especially for a business who has made a pretty good name for itself in the almost 2 decades it has been in business.
Also, I could have sworn OSHA does not allow the staff to bring food back behind the counter once it has left the store (I picked it up through the drive thru and drove around to a parking space before coming inside) and it seems the girl decided to keep the first smoothie for herself after making the second smoothie (which still was not filled as the kid smoothie my daughter received and every other SK in the nation fills them). I truly hope that she didn’t drink it as I literally fought back as hard as I could and sneezed while taking the first photo (I am sensitive to something that is blooming here). I would have warned her but I was so thrown off by their attitude that the thought didn’t cross my mind until I was at my destination replaying the events that had taken place in my mind. Anywho, this is wrong… you work hard for your money, don’t let anyone shortchange you. Besides that, it was extremely bland. My son ended up trading it in for my over half the price cheaper almost bigger frozen coffee treat from Costco as the SK smoothie was intended for him for his lunch break (he works in the heat and this was intended to be a surprise treat) hence how I know it was bland as I ended up with it (took me forever to drink) … (definitely not the flavor we are used to). Read moreAs a regular visitor to Smoothie King locations up and down the East Coast, I was very disappointed with my recent visit to this location while traveling back from Iowa. I stopped at this location and, unfortunately, encountered some of the worst customer service I’ve experienced at the brand. There was only one other customer in the store when I arrived, so the environment wasn’t rushed or hectic. However, the young woman with blonde hair working the register came across as completely disengaged and condescending. While I was selecting my items, she repeatedly asked, “Anything else? Anything else?”—not in a helpful way, but with a tone that felt impatient and dismissive. She also didn’t ask for my loyalty number, which is standard procedure, and only processed it after I brought it up myself. Her attitude made what should’ve been a pleasant experience feel uncomfortable and rushed. To be fair, the store itself was bright and clean, and the person who prepared the smoothie did a good job—the drink was excellent. But customer service matters just as much as product quality, and in that regard, this visit was an epic fail. We have been there three different occasions where they have overcharged us. 2 times we were in an hurry, asked about the price difference and the worker didn’t know why or what to do so we just let it slide. But after the 3rd time and nearly robbing us of $5, we asked for refund. Again the worker and assistant manager had no idea why there was a price difference from what is posted on kiosk to what they charged us. Initially she tried to say it was because I paid through the app, I didn’t! So the excuse wasn’t right. BTW the other 2 times that was there go to answer, the app must be wrong. They had to call the owner who told the workers not to make our smoothies and just refund the transaction! That was odd, wouldn’t you want to just refund the difference? Probably thought if we got our money back we wouldn’t post a review. After 10 minutes of waiting, we left with a full refund and no smoothies! What a joke!! Buyer be ware!! They are robbing you...
