Tried to do this review with the mcdvoice site that's on my receipt, but somethings wrong with that. So we went to McDonald's on 9/29/23 @ 10:55am right as lunch started. I have never been so disappointed with McDonald's. This visit was by far the worst. First let me say that the young lady at the window was very very nice and polite, she talked pretty low and was hard to hear on the intercom but she was very nice. The food is what was the big disappointment. We ordered the 2 cheeseburger meal, with no pickle, medium with a caramel macchiato for the drink. First the French fries were cold and hard. To hard to eat even if they were cold. The cheeseburgers were half warm, half cold, but the buns were pretty hard, like biting into a cold bagel. Then the upcharged caramel macchiato drink was terrible, as it wasn't even the macchiato it was just an iced coffee with a very minimal amount of sugar. Read moreI don't understand the point of using the app if they always treat you like a second class citizen. You'd think that saving time by having what you want already order and paid for would be encouraged, but apparently this place wants you to waste your time at the drive through speaker. I am consistently pulled to the side in a numbered spot and told to wait because they are making it. I almost always get the same thing, a quarter pounder with cheese and a 10pc nugget since there is usually a deal in the app and this is like some of the most basic stuff on their menu and yet I am routinely waiting in the parking spot for at least 15 minutes but usually its closer to 30! Today I sat for 27 minutes! The only good thing is the food was hot. Meanwhile, all the people that were behind me zip on through with their stuff they ordered at the speaker. Read moreFirst off this place is way too expensive for the area and in general. According to McDonald price tracker sites this location is one of the most expensive in Illinois. They average more than a dollar higher on tracked items. Along with all the locations along 13 operated by the same franchisee. Service is terrible. Employees just stare at you and won't do anything unless you actively engage them. The new corporate store design feels sterile and poorly thought out. Im a adult with no kids so if it doesn't appeal to me or families (no kids area anymore) than what's the target audience. Lastly the food has become abysmal. Always have to check the food before driving away. Not just to check a single item we've ordered that they somehow still get wrong but to make sure they aren't ice cold too. The deal was always McDonald's was cheap and convenient but subpar food. But now it's expensive, slow and that's if they don't forget about you, and poor quality.
