Taco Bell / KFC — Restaurant in Murphysboro

I have been to this location twice. The first time, all I wanted was some basic tacos. They cheerfully informed me that they didn't have any ground beef thawed but if I wanted to sit at the drive-thru and wait 20-30 minutes they would probably have some then. Probably. I opted not to wait, thanked them for their time, and drove off. In a moment of hubris, I just went back today because I wanted nacho fries and did not want to drive the distance to the location in Carbondale. While my order was accurate, the cheese sauce for the nacho fries was more yellow-grey than orange, and the burrito I ordered smelled noticeably strange. As soon as I pulled it from the bag, a funky smell wafted out I can only describe as yeasty feet. Since it has been months since I'd had taco bell I assumed they'd just changed a recipe or something and attempted to eat it anyway. Big mistake. I got through 75% of the nacho fries and 3 bites of the burrito when a wave of nausea hit, my guts clenched, and I knew I had made a huge mistake. It is hours later. I still feel sick. ... Do....

There Were two cars ahead of us in the drive-through. Waited approximately 10 minutes for our food. This wasn’t a issue. Upon inspection while driving away we found that our order was not correct. We were missing two regular tacos and one supreme taco. Explained this to the drive-through after circling around. We were then instructed to pull ahead, where we waited. And waited. And waited. All in all, this Taco Bell excursion took 32 minutes, and the food still was not correct upon receipt. We did not have any more time to mess with the clearly incompetent and unprofessional staff as we have a schedule to keep. I worked in a Taco Bell in high school. I understand that it can be a fast-paced and demanding job at times. I also understand that it would’ve took me approximately 35 seconds to make the tacos that we waited 20 minutes extra for. If I would’ve messed up, I would have tried to make it up to the customer, Not speak to them as if they are some sort of burden. I do not recommend this...

If you can think of something that might go wrong, it likely will at this Taco Bell. Let me tell you about my recent visit.

Pulled up to drive thru and there was 1 car. They had one customer inside as well. I ordered a #7 which on the menu says "Chicken quesadilla with 1 crunchy taco" She kept speaking over me asking me.. Chicken or steak.. crunchy or soft? (seems she dosent know the menu)

I got to the window and she hands me sweet tea with two ice cubes floating in it and ask me to pull forward. I sit there for 10 mins.

I get my food, my crunchy taco has been goo smashed all along the side of it. My quesadilla is missing the sauce, its just chicken and cheese. Also the temp was off, wait 10 mins and the food somehow was still not hot. Total time there was 15 mins.

It PAINS me to know they are making at least 14.00 a hour when they are not worth 5...
