Big Apple Grill And Bar — Restaurant in Murray

This was literally the worst service and some of the worst food I’ve ever had in a restaurant. We walk in the hostess says to the waitress, “do you want to seat them?” And she responds, “not really.” She was entirely unenthusiastic, rude, and acted like she didn’t want to be there, not to mention that none of the waitresses were dressed professionally at all. We ordered a couple burgers and when we got them they were charred and dry. Also, they would be better off serving their hamburgers with ballpark buns than with their special “yeast buns”. They were doughy and sticky—like when touched it with your finger, the surface of the bun stuck to your finger and pulled away in strings like raw dough. The caramelized onions and pulled pork was okay, but didnt make up for the rest of the food. When we went to pay we weren’t going to leave a tip of course, but the waitress stood over our shoulder while we paid on their handheld card thing. First, I will say, food was delicious. No fat in the BBQ, potato salad was wonderful. Taste is not an issue at all. However, if you're needing an expensive snack, then perhaps go here. We got dinner to go. The boxes are big. What's inside in disappointing for the money spent. I fast in the morning, eat light for lunch, and I eat normal at dinner because I won't eat again for 18 hours. When I opened this to go box, the portion sizes are laughable. I paid $12 for each meal that is big enough to feed a toddler or have a fancy, expensive snack. Definitely not worth the money. Before moving to Murray, we ate a BBQ place called Ronnie's. The portions were way larger for less money. It's the same...smoked on site. Baked beans were advertised as brisket baked beans, but there was no brisket. Tasted like Bush's baked beans. Which is fine. I like Bush's. Just....where is the brisket? Big Apple is good. Just probably won't eat here again because it's too expensive...

I will not be back. I realize I was only a table of one, and there were large parties tonight, so taking longer to get the food I expected. But, to be served my cup of soup 45 minutes after I ordered it and then the entree I ordered wasn’t even the right entree didn’t set a good tone for me. Plus, I sat 10 minutes just waiting on a refill of my tea. The waitress totally forgot about me and the food was worse then what I can get at a truck stop. I like to try new places and know restaurants can have “off” nights, but they didn’t even bother to say “thank you” as I walked out the door. Once the waitress had the bill paid she took off and didn’t even say “thank you.” Plus, the want you to rate their service on there little credit card machine the waitress carries around right in front of her. Hoping to find something better that is local...
