Don Sol is very underrated compared to other restaurants in Murray.

First, the service. Every single staff member that I have encountered has been very friendly and kind. Usually the food comes out pretty fast, in a good way.

Second, the atmosphere. The atmosphere is perfect. You get a great vibe from the Mexican theming and the music played. It is just great.

Last, but not least, the food. The food is absolutely delicious!! My go to for a long time was the chicken quesadilla, since I used to be a picky eater. A lot of grease, but man it is delicious. There are different and unique items, like the Hawaiian take on a quesadilla. I haven’t tried it, but my mom loves it. However, you CANNOT pass up on the cheese dip. It is the best kind I have ever had!!

My wife and I have eaten here just a handful of times, and every visit has been nothing but a wonderful dining experience. The Don Sol Cheese steak was amazing. I've had the pollo and chorizo platter and pollo playa which were both equally delicious and satisfying. My wife is particular about certain dishes, but she's had the taco salad, pollo playa, chicken fajitas and was absolutely impressed with all of the above. I was looking over the drink menu, after placing our food order, and our waitress saw me lay the menu down and was there at my table immediately to see if I was interested in ordering a drink. The service is prompt and friendly, the food is excellent and competitive pricing. If you've never eaten at Don Sol in Murray KY, put it on your bucket list. I'm not sure if they've hired a new person to cook or what the deal is...but I'm shocked at how many positive reviews this place has. I've ate at numerous American-Mexican restaurants thru the years & this place...by far is one of the worst! Almost $30 is in the trash right now. Beans, rice, beef, chicken...all so bland & overcooked nothing would help it. I tried white cheese, salt, & garlic powder, nothing helped how bad it all tasted. So disappointing. Food has to be pretty rough for me to throw it away. It deserved to be thrown away. I couldn't serve that to customers...I'd be too embarrassed. Both of the entrees ordered were also soaking in water (I'm assuming from not draining the lettuce). My food was surrounded by water. Who serves food like this?? Save your time...
