I am commenting not to get anyone in trouble, but in hopes this does not happen to anyone else. I came in today to get store credit for a dress I bought on Mother's Day. It did not fit so I wanted to exchange it because I did not have the receipt. I told the cashier (Allison) that I wanted store credit. She asked if I had the receipt, I said no. She turned to another associate, older, dark brown hair with glasses and told her my request. She said "she'll have to do a return credit without a receipt". Then she asked if I wanted to look around for something to exchange. I said yes. I went to the bathroom and came out to look around. I picked up a few things and the older lady came up and asked if I found anything. I said yes, and she let me know if I saw any clothes I like I could take it in the bathroom to try on. I did not know this on Mother's Day. She said she didn't either until she started working there. Then I kept looking around and picked up some more things. The older lady came back with a basket to hold my things, which was nice. Then I kept looking around and Allison comes over and I happen to turn in her direction and smile. She smiled slightly, but didn't talk like the older lady. She walked around and turned her back. Then walked a little closer like she was organizing products. It was then I knew I was being watched to see if I would shoplift. At that point I wanted to leave, but I knew I could not get my money back so I had to exchange the cost of the dress. I even bought items over the cost of the dress. It really hurt that I was being followed, and now I question if the older lady was doing the same thing or truly trying to help me. I think they need more training in customer service. No one deserves to...
Read moreFirst challenge, Cracker Barrel App did not work. Tried several times. Came inside store to ask what I did wrong. No one seemed to know. Hmmm, thats strange comments. Waited another 20 minutes before finally asked for a manager since no one came to the front to take my carry out order as I was told would happen next. Was told by manager she would ring my order in and to call curbside and she would bring it out. When I paid for my order no cashier seemed to know the curbside number other than call the store number( which kept disconnecting from previous call before visiting the store.(Option #1 would disconnect, for orders and curbside) I then advised would come back in and pick up myself at front counter even though manager told me she would bring out to me just tell curbside when I called. She advised me my meat was ready and available should be ready in to pick up in 10 minutes . I did end up Calling curbside number, approx 10 minutes later, I did get answer, told order was ready, waited another 10 +minutes even though advised curbside manager would bring out. Did I trust that comment? Absolutely not! I told would meet at front counter.? He questioned if I had paid? ( this was not during peak hour when started the process of a total of 1.5 hrs!) I visit Murray, KY often, first experience with this Cracker Barrel, not a good experience from beginning to end. The young man brought out 2 pickup order from the kitchen area before my order, as I was waiting at the counter. He advised he had my order ready. He appeared again with my order 5 minutes later. Was asked twice if I had paid for the order. Yes, more...
Read moreI have visited this Cracker Barrel several times. The food depending on what you get is decent. Its not the best but its ok. Also they're a few good caring genuine people who work there but mostly just rude racist ignorant people. Walking around the store I would overhear conversations that were very unpleasant by some of the work staff. I happened to accidently drop into a few conversations while browsing their store part of the restaurant. I found that to be completely unprofessional. The Retail Manager from what I have witnessed did not want to deal with minorities that would walk through the door, she wanted them in and out the store as quick as possible. Another conversation I happened to hear is that a female floor worker needed a few days off to catch up on school work (finals were coming up) and the retail manager had little to no sympathy for the girl. The manager scolded her, the look on this girls face was shocked and in disbelief. I heard the girl mention that she was in the masters program and had been working extra so she could earn cash to pay bills. This girl is trying to get her schooling and her bills paid and you're going to scold her for needing some days so she can do what she needs done. I don't think thats very professional at all. It seems to me that management doesn't care for their student workers education or anything at all. They truly need to work on the way they handle situations at that establishment whether it's their own workers or their customers. I would give this place a complete...
