Mugsy's Hideout — Restaurant in Murray

Transplanting from the Windy City, to West Tennessee, I guess I was expecting more. Atmosphere and service was on spot. No complaints and we tipped 25-30% based solely on those 2 experiences. As I said, I was expecting more as far as food goes. Gyro dinner was small. Fries galore. But 1 pita? And barely enough meat to make it an actual Gyro. Meat was shaved super thin. Sorry, expecting 2 pitas and enough meat, medium thickness, and enough for both pitas and at least 4 rollups at home...Now, the pizza...no matter how much the deep dish cheese pizza sat, "set up" as it cooled, it was "runny". Thin crust cheese and Italian beef was undercooked, no part of the cheese was brown, beef was more like roast beef, as there was minimal flavor. It was about a 30 minute drive to this establishment. We have gladly drove 2+ hrs to get to a good meal. I guess we need to travel a little further next time. I must note again, the atmosphere was delightful. Went there for lunch on a chill Friday afternoon, was able to get good parking, and we were seated immediately. The waitress took our appetizer and drink orders. When she returned with the drinks, she took out entree orders and never returned to our table. While taking my order I asked if I could add grilled chicken to my side salad, and she replied with a nasty toned, "no" and "judgy" looks. I'm not sure if the question annoyed her. They were not busy, as it was us and one other table in the restaurant at the time. From there forward, a nice gentleman (I forgot his name, but he told me he was a bus driver as well, shout out to him!) served us. The food was great! I had toasted ravioli, a Caesar salad, and the chicken breast covered in mushrooms and onions with a baked potato. All was cooked to perfection. If you go there get the Caesar salad, it is so good!! My boyfriend had the cheesy garlic bread, and a Philly cheese steak with fries. I tried his bread and fries, both were phenomenal. He said the cheese steak was really good! Great supreme pizza. Nice to have Diet Dr. Pepper. Service was very good. Went again - no change. Went again - still great! Not many eating there, so it was quiet. Food really hit the spot. Little busier today, but noise level not bad. Pizza and service was great again.

Went closer to closing time, so not as crowded. Pizza came out very hot so used knife and fork to start with. Tried take out last time, but taste was even better fresh and hot. Service great again. Used the restroom and it was handicap accessible.

Had a group of 4 people today. Took a little longer to get our drinks, but the orders came out timely. The meals were great. Three of the 4 had leftovers to take home. Everyone enjoyed the time together. It was a late lunch so not as many people so that allowed for better...
