The cashier/host was a rude and an arrogant. We ordered over a $100 worth of food and at the time of placing order I requested all of the fried foods to be fried hard. She made a comment then that she'll do her best. She brought the food out to the table at separate times. The food was warm, but not hot. The gravy was also lukewarm, making it more of a thicker consistency, and for the amount of rice that is given, they can add more gravy so that the rice is not so dry. The yams were delicious. They were real yams, not canned yams again could be served a bit hotter. The fish was not fried hard. We brought it to her attention. She took the fish back, dropped the same fish and fried it a little longer when she returned it. She let us know that, in her opinion, the fish and chicken was now overcooked. When actually it was just the way we liked it, with that crunch standing business. Her opinion was not necessary because we had already paid for the food and asked for "fryed hard" from the beginning. The same, some prefer medium? She then packaged all of our food to go and served it to us in a to go boxes. When we notice all the other patriots, in the restaurant with their food on actual serving dishes. When I asked her about it, she explained that she did not have serving dishes to accommodate the sample platter. She looked very upset the whole time. The food was good. Could use a little bit more seasoning on the Mac and cheese, and especially the gravy. Add a little more oil inside the cornbread muffin tray, because the paper was stuck on the bottom of the muffin. Overall, the atmosphere was beautiful. Nice small chic, very clean. Now I did like that it was very clean. Nce selection of jazz and r.And b. This place has the potential. If they just put a new face out front, this lady is one fuse away from snapping or causing conflict between a customer, because her attitude and demeanor is written all over her face and in her actions. This smothered pprk chops, are not smothered. Pork chops are fried with gravy added on top, completely different than a smothered pork chop. Overall, I get the food a 5 and a 1/2 out of 10. The establishment a 8 out of 10, and the customer service. 3/10 out of ten. We drove over an hour away after reading the reviews We were really looking forward to trying a new black owned soul food spot closer in our area, where we don't always have to go to the city to get good soul food, we'll return, probably not. 1st impressions are everything and that lady was not welcoming. First time customer will NEVER RETURN OR RECOMMEND!! Sharon creole kitchen ten times better food and customer service!!! If I could give no stars that would completely be an option. I will never eat here again. There were multiple items missing from my take out order that were already paid for I ordered at 417 in person and waited for a call was told I would recieve a call when order was ready never did I then walked in at 530 to pick up my order the staff member said order was ready a while ago. After getting home found multiple items missing. They close at 6 so I decided to call maybe go pick them up the following day or get a refund for missing items. However after trying to call no one answered so I called a few more times. Then finally recieved a call back for someone to not be on the other end I could hear the individuals in the background but no one on the phone. Ultimately I lost money and these people are rude with horrible customer service. 0 stars.

UPDATE: After contacting the owner I was critiqued about my review and then asked what all was missing it's been almost two weeks at this point I don't even remember what I had for breakfast two days ago either way shouldn't have mattered when below it states a full refund. My husband and I were looking for a new place to eat. We google a soul food place in the area we were in at the moment. So, we walked in and the place was empty. We walked to the front to order and the cashier was rude. We were about to leave but decided to give the place a chance. As we prepared to order, we felt the attitude again. I ordered The Wings and Fish, which were overpriced at $26.99, and my husband's order was $20.99. The rude cashier asked me if I wanted hot sauce and Tatar sauce, and I said yes, thinking it came with the order. I didn't ask for extra sauce. Do you know she charged both of us for the condiments? That is supposed to come with the order. On top of that, we waited 20 mins for raw chicken. The wings were raw. How can you mess up on chicken wings? I had to take the wings home and cook them smh. Then, she has a sign telling the customers they all have to shoot together with strangers and changes$1.00 for refills smh. Clearly, with her bad attitude and nasty food, I can see why the restaurant was empty. She didn't even tell us she was charging us for condiments. I will never go back to the place.
