I asked for my sub dry. No mayo. They SMOTHERED it in vinegar and oil to the point that it was inedible. I hate vinegar. Someone else picked it up for me because I was working. When he went back, the store demanded they bring the original sandwich back. When the original sandwich went back, which was now on the 3rd trip to the store, the whole staff was rude and dismissive. When the person picking up the new sandwich saw how it was carelessly thrown together with half the meat the first sandwich had, he asked for a refund. The manager, Kim or Kiff is the name he told me on the phone, but I believe this gentleman's has a different name, refused the refund. I called the store personally and on the 3rd try was able to get through and asked for a refund. The manager said it would be back on the card, but I have yet to see a refund. Pretty rough start for a franchise that needs to earn their customers before they start to keep the ones they have. I will never return to this location and advise you avoid...
Read moreI am absolutely not the type of person to leave a review but this was one of the worst experiences I've had ANYWHERE. This is my first time going to this location and will be my last, I'd much rather make the 30 minute drive to Greensburg where the employees won't openly judge me for making alterations to my sandwich. I unfortunately didn't get any names but the man at the meat counter with the facial piercings and gauged ears (not an issue just an identifying feature) was excessively quiet when repeating our order, and then when we corrected him, he decided that a turkey club with less than the regular amount of meat was just too controversial and decided to judge me when I told him I liked my sandwich that way. No person in a food service job should judge anybody for their dietary preferences. As far as the employees here knew I could have been asking for changes due to medical or religious reasons, both of which are nobody's business but the person ordering the...
Read moreI typically don't review chain restaurants but there is an exception to every rule. I'm up here in Pittsburgh doing some scouting and needed a bite between rinks. The food was what it usually is at a Jersey Mikes, pretty good with the cold cuts sliced on site.
What was different was the staff. I noticed that the general manager/owner (whomever he was) was hands down awesome! He was engaging with the customers and leading his staff in all facets of the operation while enabling them to be better and self-sufficient in their assigned tasks. Initially I thought the operation seemed a tad inefficient as there appeared to be several employees who had minimally assigned duties until I realized EXACTLY why that was.
My hat is off to you all. As I am in the greater Pittsburgh area at least twice a hockey season I will venture far out of my way to come support your franchise, undoubtedly passing other Jersey Mikes on my way here.
Y'all get 5 stars for the food but 10 stars for...
