UPDATE: After leaving the first review, the manager of this restaurant reached out and offered me a gift card and a free drink to come back and give them a chance. I came back about 4 months later in the afternoon and had a good time. Chicken wings were good beers were cold. There is nothing more to ask for. Thank you. -------- I would recommend going to the coxcomb up the street... Walking into the NPL Murrysville you get hit with the stench of stale beer. My wife and I sat at the bar and ordered an Italian Hogie and stuffed pretzel. The hogie was OK ( not great ) and the stuffed pretzel was just a pretzel bun with melted shredded cheese in the middle. We ordered one of the special Christmas drinks, it was SOO sweet we had to ask for extra seltzer water to lessen the sweetness. The restaurant wasn't full, but staff seemed overwhelmed. It took 45 minutes to get our food (Sandwhich and soft pretzel). We asked for a side of ranch from the hostess who brought our food, but we never received. Overall this isn't the worst restaurant in Murrysville. If you are in this shopping center you are better off going to Burgatory or Coxcomb up the street.

To start, I am a regular monthly customer at Dee Jays in Wexford and Bridgeville and a few times a year at Weirton. Those three restaurants have outstanding food, service and value. We were in Monroeville and decided to try DeeJays Lounge. What a mistake. First, we sat in the main dining area near the glass wall to the bar. Every time someone opened the glass door a horrific odor of stale beer permeated the restaurant. The food was plentiful, tasted very good and the waite staff was pleasant. However, we were very upset with the prices and fees. We were charged $1 for BBQ sauce when ordered bbq chicken dinner without cheese. They never deducted for no cheese. Then we were charged the 3% credit card fee when the whole Dee Jays chain DOES NOT. This is why i stopped going to North Park Lounge. If I am charged $20 for chicken dinner. The restaurant should be able to absorb 60¢. Quit adding surcharges it's a terrible business model.

I’d probably land around 3.5 stars if Google let me, but I’m rounding to 4 here. I’ve been curious about Dee Jay’s for a while, so when I was invited by Run Relay it felt like a good chance to finally check it out. They’ve got your typical American menu, and the ribs are clearly their pride. They even offer samples, which my family really enjoyed. With plenty of TVs and lots of seating, it works well as a spot to catch a game with a group. Service ended up being the highlight. Our server was attentive and helpful the whole time.

Updated on June 11th. I sent an email on May 13th at their request believing that they wanted to rectify the situation. Here I am over a month later and I have yet to receive a response. I changed my review to a one star. Very poor customer service.

Left hungry: NPL was always a top favorite of our family and we have been there a couple times since it was bought by Dee Jay's but last night was a horrible experience. Our family of 4 was seated and greeted right away by our server who took our drink and appetizer order. The gigantic pretzel arrived and was just as tasty as ever. I was happy to see they changed the previously running cheese sauce to a better quality. Three of us ordered different burgers and my son ordered the buffalo chicken pizza. All of our burgers were ordered at medium rare temps. When our dinners arrived we all cut into our giant delicious looking burgers. My husband's Texan burger was cooked to perfection! Unfortunately my Bacon Egg burger along with my daughter's A1 burger were well done. She was happy to keep hers because she was able to dip it into A1 sauce adding moisture. I tried to eat mine but after 2 bites I decided it was too dry. I brought it to the server's attention and she apologized immediately, returning to the kitchen to order a new one. I waited approximately 15 minutes for my new burger to return. At this point my family was done eating so I asked for a to-go container. Upon inspecting the burger I could see that the cheese and the bottom of the burger were completely burnt so again I cut into the burger to discover this one was beyond well done and completely chard. Beyond frustrated I sent the burger back, unwilling to wait any longer I requested the check. I was surprised that she never sent the manager over or offered any type of compensation. The place could use some fixing up as a ceiling tile above our head was pulling away from the ceiling. We will likely not be returning anytime soon. When momma ain't happy, ain't...

Tonight my friends and I went to NPL for food and drinks after their shift at a restaurant right down the road. We have never experienced worse service in our lives... the funny thing is we are all servers or work in the food industry, so we know what poor service is. CHELSEA our server came to get our drink orders and food orders. Someone else ran out food and our server CHELSEA never came back over. We had to go to the bar to get our drinks which took upwards of 15 minutes a drink. Meanwhile... men received their drinks immediately upon sitting. She called across the bar to our table asking for drink orders which is ridiculous. My friend went to find a manager because of badly we were treated. The manager took care of some of our drinks which was nice. When we went to cash our checks out, CHELSEA never came to get our cards. Once again, we had to go to the bar to give them to her. That is when the verbal altercation occurred. She told us that that it was our responsibility to ask her to serve our table and that she is a bartender and not a server.... then why did she wait on us to begin with?? She told us that she didn't care what we had to say and that we just shouldn't come in when she's working. Voices were raised and "the customer is always right" went out the window. Management should be embarrassed by this behavior. WE ALL WORK AT HIGH CLASS RESTAURANTS. We may be the same age as her, but we deserve the caliber of service that we provide to...
