Casa Mexicana — Restaurant in Muscle Shoals

Stopped in with my wife and three young daughters for lunch on our way back to MS from Huntsville, AL. Less than forty bucks for the entire bill. The waitstaff were all attentive and accurate without hovering. My wife had their stellar shredded chicken nachos, my daughters shared plates of tamales and cheese quesadillas, and I had a really yummy chicken quesadilla. There was a bonus added in - we had the absolute privilege of sitting across from two local firefighters who INSTANTLY moved toward my toddler daughter who began choking on a chip. Real hometown heroes whom I am so thankful were there, though my sweet baby coughed past that chip without need of emergency assistance. All the same guys, God bless y'all and thank you so much for your attentiveness!

Worst Mexican food we have ever had. We stopped in for to-go order. Got enchiladas verde and 2 beef burritos. No enchilada sauce on the enchiladas, just soggy corn tortillas folded over dried up beef. Burritos were the same, just rolled and no lettuce or beans or rice. Both orders were covered in a nasty cheese. When asked if I wanted cheese sauce on the burritos I asked what the cheese sauce was made from and was told Velveeta. We couldn't finish the food and threw it away. The next day I wanted to dig it out of the trash, take it back and demand our money back. Disgusting. How does this place get 5 stars? Very good. Great atmosphere. Go often with good food & prices. This specific time my taco salad was cold & I very kindly asked for a new one but instead they microwaved lettuce & all. That rare experience my salad was disgusting but I will go back. Very kind staff. Always busy but for a good reason. Rare to wait but never more than a min or so. I take all my nieces & nephews & we all order one thing usually a la carte to keep it affordable and with the salsa being free everyone is satisfied and happy for a very reasonable price. I always tip well since we don't spend a lot of money....
