I was made to feel like a food criminal. We got our food to-go and when we got home our food was basically over cooked to where you couldn’t chew it. I called and informed Getty Street Grill immediately, I was polite, and to us there was nothing to be upset about just asking for our food to be redone. My daughter tried to pick the top part off so she could try to eat it… but for $30 plus dollars you shouldn’t have to do that. The lady on the phone said to bring the food back which we did immediately. Once I returned to Getty Street Grill to return the food, I’m assuming a manager or owner came and inspected the food like if we were lying about it. The one my daughter tried to pick the burnt off of it the manager said well this one looks okay. I said my daughter picked the burnt pieces off. The manager, continued to inspect the food like there was another reason for the food to be burnt instead of her cook burning it. While I waited for her inspection to be completed I was in awe of how the phone call was bring the food back and we will get that changed for you, to seeing me in person and seeing that I wasn’t of the white race and now I’m lying about our food being burnt. The manager reluctantly had our order remade she never came back to say sorry about that or anything, but had her cashier bring me the food. I had to re-ask for all of our condiments which they gave me one, I said I have two orders could you supply condiments for the two orders. The cashier walked back and grabbed one jelly for 2 toast. This place has went down since the new owners came, definitely racist profiling thinking although we paid for our food we just some how went home put the food on the stove burnt it and then called and informed them about it. I won’t be back why spend our hard earned money with a owner that judge you because of your color but is willing to take your money. They knew the food was burnt when they boxed it up, but some kind of way it was still on us. Black people be aware, your money is welcomed, but...

They get and deserve five stars. They took only cash when we ate here years ago and it turned us off and we never came back until today. They do take cards now. Later in this review are notes that are intended to help potential customers in decision making, not to be negative. This is a clean restaurant with good and friendly service. Our coffee was never allowed to get less than half gone. We came in for breakfast on a Sunday morning as two couples. It was bustling but we were seated right away. I ordered the breakfast burrito. My husband ordered Stuffed Hashbrowns. Our friends ordered an omelet and country fried steak with sides of grits. We were all satisfied with food with two mild issues. The gravy on the steak was pretty bad, like something bought in a can. Ask for it on the side so you can decide for yourself if you like it or not. There was a mildly rancid flavor in my fried potatoes. Ketchup fixed it but made us wonder what caused it. Neither issue would cause us not to come back. Indeed we will. The bathrooms were both clean, but beware...not suitable for anyone larger than medium sized or disabled. Also, the toilets are very low to the floor and if someone has hip/knee issues, getting on and off will be...

Me and my family have been going to Getty st grill 10 years now faithfully, however on January 16th we ordered breakfast 🥞 for our family as a take out order, and the first problem was my order came to $32.00 and they charged my card $47.25 then we went to start eating and half of our order was wrong then the the part that was right had all the vegetables we asked for them to please not put in it were in it, I called to complain thinking they would make it right the lady I spoke with was absolutely rude told me I'm sorry mam but the lady that took your order says that u never asked for no vegetables and she also stated u got the right order so I said can we bring it back and you will see I got the wrong order and vegetables were in the stuffed hash browns she told me absolutely not it's not wrong on our end and hung up on me so I called and spoke with her boss and he was even ruder and told me I was lieing his employees wouldn't say I was blown back so he lost a family of customers coming for many years and a bad review over making a customers order right and speaking 🗣️ to his employes and as well...

I am utterly disappointed. I ordered a vegetarian omelette add bacon and received a slaughter house-greasy plate with little other ingredients. I understand people make mistakes and times get busy… but the worst part of all was being berated by the owner. I am not a first time visitor and I tip 20% on takeout. I politely asked for a KIDS MENU replacement for myself (to account for cost and make easy it on the restaurant) and he just continued to argue with me. I ultimately ended up leaving the omelette at the restaurant because it wasn’t worth the trouble. I wasted 15$ on breakfast. That’s an hour of work for most of us. I have never witnessed such terrible customer service and I hope no else experiences what I did.

GREAT brunch spot! The food is delicious, portions are huge, and the price is right! Ron (the owner?) is hilarious - give him a little sass and he’ll zip it right back at ya haha! But he’s also kind and gracious with every customer, so you know it’s just playful fun and it creates a fun environment. Our server Lindsey was wonderful and friendly. Coffee was always full and all our orders (8 people) came out correct! …so what more do you need to know? Just go here and get some tasty food already!
