Went to Watsons Chophouse On 3RD in Muskogee, ok tonight. Was not disappointed!!! Party of four, we had made reservations. Got seated quickly. They brought out fresh baked bread. They are still Working on making the drink menu. The bartender did come out and talk with us to let us know what she had. Dirkns were made well. I had a Long Island which was great. We got two apps. The pork belly and the lobster ravioli. Pork belly was good it had a really good flavor the fat rendered to melt in your mouth but the lobster ravioli won this one. The plump ravioli was cooked to perfection and that sauce it’s smothered in was amazing! I might have been using that fresh bread to sop up that gravy 🤷🏻♂️
The ladies got the pear salad. It had a hint of maple in the sauce which did make it sweetish, they both loved it. It was a little difficult to eat due to the size of the leafs in the salad only real complaint I heard from them!
Now on the the meat of the post 🤷🏻♂️😂
We had three 10oz bacon wrapped fillets ordered and one shrimp pasta.
Fillets all cooked to the ordered temp. Brussel sprouts weren’t as crispy as we have had in other establishments but still very tasty. Heard nothing but good things from the baked potato casserole and the Mac and cheese was very creamy and cheesy. I ordered the asparagus it was cooked well. The only thing that I ordered that needed anything added to it was the asparagus and I added a little salt and pepper. Fillet was almost fork tender. The knife was almost too much and the fork just not enough. If you are planning to come See the garden of lights or see some family in Muskogee. Make a reservation and go eat one of the best steaks in Muskogee. Oh almost forgot the shrimp pasta. Shrimp Was cooked perfectly and the pasta was just right. And the sauce…. The sauce was what the lobster ravioli was smothered in. That bowl had the fresh baked bread being used to soak up the sauce.
Staff was friendly, if they didn’t know they went and got an answer for you or someone that knew the answer. Draw backs if you could call it that was the dessert brownie was cooked to order. That was roughly 16-20 minutes. We weren’t concerned with the wait. We were finishing our drinks and just enjoying the atmosphere and ambiance.
So excited for a quality chophouse in Muskogee! Usually I’m driving 35-40 minutes one way to get a good steak. Now there is one just...

Our first experience at Watson’s Chophouse was fantastic.
As a walk-in, we had about a 45-minute wait, which was exactly what the hostess estimated. The atmosphere struck a perfect balance between classic and unique, and even though the setting felt upscale, I was comfortable in casual attire.
Our waitress, Ciara, provided excellent service throughout the evening. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without feeling rushed.
We started with the mozzarella sticks, and they were outstanding—hand-rolled, perfectly crispy, and just the right portion for two or three people. The restaurant also provides bread and butter, which was decent, though not the soft, fluffy rolls you might expect from a chain steakhouse. And that’s perfectly fine—Watson’s isn’t trying to be that.
For our entrée, we chose the Porterhouse for Two, cooked medium-rare, with Brussels sprouts and mac & cheese as our sides.
While waiting, we had time to appreciate the restaurant’s thoughtful and well-executed design. The remodel was clearly done with attention to detail, creating a warm yet sophisticated ambiance. We didn’t venture upstairs, but the main dining area had a great vibe.
The timing of the meal was well-paced, with our entrée arriving shortly after we finished the appetizer.
When the Porterhouse for Two arrived, it made an impression—beautifully presented on a large wooden cutting board and pre-cut for easy sharing. The steak was incredible—juicy, tender, and packed with rich flavor.
The sides were served in small cast-iron skillets, and the portions were more than generous. • Brussels Sprouts – A perfect balance of texture and taste, seared to a slight crisp with a hint of sweetness. Not too soft, not too firm—just right. • Mac & Cheese – Creamy, ultra-cheesy, and bursting with flavor. Comfort food at its finest.
Though we were pretty full, we decided to try the rum bread pudding for dessert, and we’re so glad we did. Normally, we wouldn’t choose bread pudding, but this one was fantastic—rich, moist, and full of warm, spiced flavor. A perfect way to end the meal.
From start to finish, Watson’s Chophouse delivered an excellent dining experience. With incredible food, a welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service from Ciara, we’ll...
Read moreWatson Chophouse is a hidden gem nestled in an otherwise quiet, almost forgotten town. From the outside, the restaurant exudes class, setting the tone for what aims to be a high-end dining experience. Inside, the space is small, dimly lit, and tastefully designed perfect for an intimate meal. However, be prepared for a tight fit; if you're seated at an interior table, expect your chair to be bumped more than once.
The menu offers poetic descriptions that only hint at the depth of flavor to come. Appetizers are flavorful, though priced a bit high especially when compared to larger, more upscale steakhouses. The steak arrived thin, stretching across the plate, and seasoned to perfection. Unfortunately, its thinness meant our medium rare came out closer to medium.
To the restaurant’s credit, when sides missed the mark, they made it right. The Brussels sprouts were originally served burnt to a crisp something that should’ve been caught by the kitchen and the server, but once replaced, they were phenomenal, even better than described. The creamy mashed potatoes were so rich and delicious we wished we’d ordered double. The potato casserole was a hit, and the mac and cheese, with its flavorful crust, delivered an explosion of comfort food goodness.
That said, not all mistakes were handled well. A larger, incorrect steak was brought to the table complete with butter and bacon despite our original order. Rather than correcting it, the staff simply removed the toppings and served the same steak, then charged us for the more expensive cut without explanation. It left a sour taste, especially given the otherwise thoughtful service.
And just when we thought the night was winding down, a fly decided to join our meal landing directly on the food and putting an unfortunate end to the experience.
Watson Chophouse has serious potential, with standout dishes and a charming atmosphere. But lapses in kitchen execution and guest service need addressing if they want to rise beyond being just...
