Don't let this small little roadside stand fool you, they know exactly what they're doing when it comes to barbecue! The brisket and ribs were cooked perfectly, the chicken had the most flavourful smokey taste and the pork barbecue was phenomenal. We had the green beans, Mac and cheese, and baked beans. All of which were so flavourful and delightful. The owner was also wonderful! Small mom and pop places like this make dining so much more fun and delicious! Can't wait to go back!

Loved this place as a hole in the wall with outside picnic benches. Feels how BBQ should be served. I really enjoyed the food. I couldn’t tell if the bbq was oven baked like some claim, but I thought it was very tasty. I loved the baked mac. Had the crispy layer on top. The slaw was very good as well. I’d definitely eat here again. I think it’s probably closer to 4.5 on my rating system. I even had the chance to meet the owners parents. Very nice folks!!

Those ribs ain't nothing but the Truth!!! They were cooked good and they were juicy. I liked the vinegar based BBQ sauce. The beans were the Bomb!! I've been passing this little stop since I moved there, but I'm so happy I stopped today. The young lady and the gentleman that took my order were so nice and personable. I look forward to returning to True BBQ again.

This was by far the worst BBQ I have ever ate... The waiter Kiko had no experience of being a server nor the menu. The BBQ has no flavor and was clearly cooked in an oven. I got about 4oz of pulled pork served on a large bun, the pork was dry and crusty. $10 for a pulled pork sandwich and about a table spoon of slaw and baked beans is way over priced. Please save your money and avoid this place actually it probably won't be there very long anyway. I fell sorry for the family that will loose their hard earned money in this restaurant. I'm sure these people had a family reunion and a family member said "that bbq is the truth" and true bbq was born. I agree with the other other people who left reviews the 5 stars came from family members of the business or people who ate for free. ...

There's a lot to like here besides the friendly owners... But I think once you try them y'all will come back. The BBQ was tender and seasoned well for my taste, as well as having an adequate amount of smokeyness. Paired with the sauces they offered puts them on par for the overall Google maps rating of 4.6 stars they currently have. The sides were very good especially the fried okra cooked up fresh, I was also pleasently surprised with the in house special rice dish they offered, which I don't recall the name of but it consisted of a sweet bbq pork mash over a bed of rice., Which happened to satisfy my sweet tooth also. Be prepared to wait a bit for your order but it's...

I came to one of the best True BBQ. today June 4th 2020 I ordered full slab of ribs. They never disappoint always outstanding. I was told the brisket was fatty. Mine was fine not much fat. Great place dont miss this place on your visit to the "Redneck Rivera " myrtle beach..... update went back for another slab of ribs and brisket. I gave my dogs a taste of brisket and both looked at me and were thinking what the hell was that outstanding meat we ate. I agree. I refered to the lady working as sunshine. Because she does have some of the best bbq in town.

Not everyone is a redneck. But this place stands out from all the others....
