Ikakos Bar and Restaurant exceeded our expectations! From the moment we walked in, the environment was vibrant and welcoming. Our waiter, Samuel, went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience—his service was attentive, friendly, and top-notch. The drinks were fantastic, well-crafted, and refreshing, adding just the right touch to our meal. The food was simply amazing—fresh, flavorful, and high-quality, making every bite a delight. The ambiance was perfect, with great music and a clean, well-maintained space that added to the enjoyment of our evening. And the prices? Surprisingly affordable for the quality! Highly recommend Ikakos as a go-to spot. Can't wait to return!
Update: Still 5 Stars!
I had the chance to return to Ikakos Bar and Restaurant during a cruise stop in Puerto Rico, and once again, they exceeded my expectations. We rented a car to explore different parts of the island, and I made sure our final stop was at Ikakos—and it was so worth it! Although Samuel wasn’t there this time, we were warmly welcomed by Ana, who was just as amazing. Her service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food and drinks? Still absolutely fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly crafted. Everything I loved about my first visit was just as good, if not better, the second time around.
Ikakos continues to deliver top-quality food, drinks, and service in a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. It’s officially become a must-visit every time I’m in Puerto Rico. Highly...
Read moreThe day we were there the food was good but the service was so slow and we couldn't figure out why. After one glass they ran out of cold white wine and said they had nothing else except for a local Chardonnay that was so bad I wouldn't even drink it, and I promise I'm not picky but they had several bottles and a big wine refrigerator there that I imagine they didn't want to open by the glass. Pretty big oversight. If they would have told me that they didn't have more than one glass of cold white wine I might have bought a bottle although that was more than I wanted to drink beyond that we had to call the waiter multiple times to get him to come to the table once and he would give us a signal that he was coming over and then do seven other things passing this by each time. Our food took more than an hour to get there and all the tables weren't even full. So I don't know what was going on this day but I'd say it's a little bit of a Gamble and you should have a lot of time if you want...
Read moreGreat food. Slow service. When we got there the rest was not packed. We were a party of three. There were maybe two other tables. It took them 15 mins just to take our order. We ordered appetizers and it took them another 30 mins to bring them. And we had to ask for our drinks again. It took about an hour for the food (main entrees) to arrive. The food was amazingly delicious. I had the Marinera Soup and my wife had Mofongo with shrimp. The cook knows his business. They had plenty of servers but probably not too many cooks. We have experienced in our stay in Puerto Rico in the month of June that we had to wait very long to be served our food. As I write this review we have been waiting 30 mins for a couple of sandwiches at a Sandwich/Bakery shop. Businesses complain that they are lacking staff. I would give five stars to this Restaurant but our waiting experience in a hot, no A/C, place was...
