3-WAY SCOOPS — Restaurant in Nantucket

I know this place is new so I want to be fair and reasonable, but ice cream is an important product these days, as it allows us a rare escape into childlike whimsy from the harsh, hateful, polarising political reality we find ourselves submerged in against our will. Even on a hot day like today, we expect that modern ice cream technology would allow us a robust, reliable scoop that retains its shape for at least a few minutes after being handed over the counter, but instead I was presented with a dripping, liquid, mess that reminded me of the bleak unpredictable reality I was trying so hard to ignore for a precious 5 minutes. I must admit I was already in a state of mild anxiety as I was trying pink peppermint stick for the first time, and as a die hard mint choc chip lover I felt like I was cheating on my husband with his best friend, but I don’t want this to weaken my position on the unacceptable consistency of the ice cream, because it was really bad, plus it was dripping down the ice cream technician’s hands so he knew it was dead on arrival. My (actual) partner, on the other hand, was delivered an ice cream of beautiful consistency, but near absent flavour. We took a calculated risk, discussing the distinct possibility of açai ice cream tasting of nothing, but ignored political and cultural influences of the moment and led with curiosity and not fear. But no, be fearful, the açai tastes like diluted dog milk. This ice cream shop has it all…delicious ice cream, waffle bowls that are crunchy, & homemade whipped cream just to name a few! So friendly and quick service! Ice cream scoops are a great size. They also have pup cups for dogs! Plenty of picnic table seating too. Highly recommend. Ooh, and not always posted on their menu are ice cream cookie sandwiches! They are huge homemade chocolate chip cookies sandwiches with ice cream and rolled in chocolate chips. As big as my hand!...

Best Ice Cream on the island!! This was a great find this year - quick service, no long line, large portions and freshly made waffle cones/bowls (I watched them).
