A while back, I had an unfortunate experience with Nosh Napa that I feel compelled to share. While I typically support local businesses, the issues I encountered here were too significant to overlook.
Firstly, the treatment of the delivery drivers is appalling. On multiple occasions, I witnessed the owner being incredibly rude and dismissive towards them. This level of disrespect is unacceptable in any workplace and speaks volumes about the overall management of the establishment.
Secondly, the food quality leaves much to be desired. I found the portions to be significantly smaller than what you would expect for the high prices. The dishes lacked flavor and did not justify the premium cost. It’s disappointing to see a place with such potential fall short on delivering a satisfying dining experience.
Additionally, Nosh Napa seems to be trying very hard to be something it's not. The restaurant's attempts to appeal to a high-end, gourmet crowd come off as contrived and inauthentic. This overreach does little to enhance the dining experience and instead highlights the disconnect between the restaurant's image and reality.
Lastly, the owner's attitude further diminishes the appeal of this place. Not only is he unkind to his staff, but he also seems indifferent to customer feedback. This lack of professionalism and basic customer service is alarming and not something I would expect from a reputable establishment.
In summary, I would not recommend Nosh Napa. There are many other options in the area that offer better food, fair prices, and a more respectful environment for both employees...
Read moreHighly recommend this place. Had excellent breakfast experience— surrounding ambiance, interior decor, service, and food. This is near Knob Hill supermarket in outlet mall, has limited indoor seating and some outdoor seating, but delivered a great dining experience. Cesar explained that the team used to work at a large resort nearby. After the COVID related layoffs, the chef decided to open his own place. That experience shows up in their attention to details for presentation, service, and of course in the food served. Per Cesar, they source all their produce, eggs locally and items like bread, pancake mix, mascarpone are made fresh in the kitchen. Tasting that mascarpone (on pancakes) rekindled my childhood memories of homemade fresh, sweet butter. We enjoyed the Omelet and Pancakes. Omelet was perfectly seasoned and had the right amount softness. Fingerling potatoes and in-house baked sourdough bread were perfect accompaniments. Pancakes were absolutely perfect with sprinkles of fresh blueberries and strawberries on top, and fresh maple syrup on the side. The dollop of mascarpone on top of the pancakes...
Read moreAbsolutely yes, 10/10, 5 starts, etc. Nosh Napa is simply amazing. The quality of the food is just as high as the service they provide. As soon as we walked into the door, we were welcomed with a smile. Love that the menu is simple because I think this allows the team to truly focus on the quality. On this occasion, I ordered the pancakes and my friend did as well (let's be honest I wanted to get the chilaquiles but I think a good sign to knowing if a place is good or not starts with the basics, and knowing myself, there was no way I was going to share pancakes, especially if it has a vanilla creme fraiche). The food was ready quickly and you can even see the detail in the photos. Even before I took a bite my tummy was happy. And they even served out some fresh jam to go with the pancakes. I can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu, especially the chilaquiles and their lunch items. And guess what? They have wifi for guests! This might just be my new work from home spot. Seriously, I couldn't ask for a better environment, good food and friendly staff.
Thank you Nosh team! Can't wait to...
